"It was said that this temple was built to worship the moon demon... Its builders lived at the foot of Sunrise Mountain, but for some unknown reason, the entire village later vanished, and the temple gradually fell into ruin..." the guide explained as he walked ahead.
"The mountain is called Sunrise Mountain, so why does the temple worship a moon demon?" someone sneered.
"My lord... in our legends, the moon was born from the sun. This mountain happens to have two peaks, and the hollow between them represents the place where the moon was born."
"Tch. The moon and sun are yin and yang to each other. How could one give birth to the other?"
"Why argue with a barbarian? They even worship demons. Their legends are nothing more than the view from the bottom of a well."
The guide lowered his head, scarcely daring to breathe, much less argue back.
He knew that every one of these people possessed heaven-shaking, earth-shattering powers. Taking his life would be easier than lifting a finger. In fact, they had encountered a band of shortsighted brigands on the way here. "That's enough," the leader said. His voice sounded like solid ice from a snow-capped peak. "Legends are the same everywhere. None stands above or below another. Until proven by fact, they are merely the ignorant babblings of fools. If you use legends to mock others, you are in fact mocking yourselves."
The guide remembered that this man was called the Kaiyang Envoy. Though he had no idea what sort of high official he was, his attire and bearing were unlike anything the guide
