Shi Yi completed the first Asura trial, strengthened himself through new Soul Rings, and helped Bibi Dong advance Spirit Hall’s plans while reconnecting with Qian Renxue and Shui Bing'er. He brought his companions to Sea God Island, where Shui Bing'er was chosen as Poseidon's successor and Shi Yi began his trials.

• Shi Yi and Hu Liena crossed Hell Road together, and after reaching its exit Shi Yi accepted Asura’s inheritance and received Divine Slaughter's Domain.
• Shi Yi absorbed powerful Thousand Jun Ant Soul Rings, opened his Eight Extraordinary Meridians, and formed a Soul Core that greatly increased his Soul Power.
• Shi Yi defeated Qian Renxue in a duel, and she agreed to cooperate with Bibi Dong’s plan while remaining in Heaven Dou.
• Spirit Hall attacked the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, while Tang San blamed Shi Yi for Xiao Wu’s death and vowed revenge.
• Shi Yi obtained the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud from Qian Renxue and reconciled with Shui Bing'er, who agreed to travel with him to Sea God Island.
• Ning Rongrong accepted a political marriage arrangement with Tang San while refusing to become his true wife, and Ning Fengzhi agreed to support the Tang Sect with a share of the sect’s profits.
• On Sea God Island, Shui Bing'er received the Sea God's Nine Trials, Shi Yi received a Top-tier Trial, and Zhu Zhuqing and Hu Liena received Black-tier trials.
• Shi Yi began cultivating on the Ring Sea steps, studying Sea God's Light and refining the control and circulation of his Soul Power.

Shi Yi and his companions completed their Sea God trials, returned to the continent, and helped Shui Bing’er gain Tian Meng’s Soul Ring. After returning to Spirit City, Shi Yi became entangled in Qian Renxue’s trials and destroyed the Tang Sect’s gunpowder stores, while Qian Daoliu asked him to help Qian Renxue reconcile with Bibi Dong.

• Shi Yi advanced through the Sea God trials with Shui Bing’er, Zhu Zhuqing, and Hu Liena, helping them pass their tests and defeat the Evil Spirit Orcas and Sacred Pillar Guardians.
• Shi Yi and Shui Bing’er returned to the continent with their companions, and Shi Yi warned Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong to leave Heaven Dou and stay away from Tang San.
• Shi Yi defeated Gu Rong, visited Skywater City, and led Shui Bing’er, Zhu Zhuqing, and Hu Liena into the Extreme North, where Shui Bing’er accepted Tian Meng’s sacrifice and gained a ninth Soul Ring.
• Hu Liena reunited with Bibi Dong, while Qian Renxue challenged Shi Yi to spar and kissed him after defeating him with her divine power.
• Bibi Dong sent Shi Yi to investigate the slaughter of a Soul Master Legion, and Qian Renxue warned him that the assignment might be a trap involving Tang San and Ning Fengzhi.
• Shi Yi infiltrated the Tang Sect, provoked Dugu Bo, and blew up the sect’s gunpowder stores before escaping and locating the Clear Sky Sect.
• Qian Daoliu asked Shi Yi to help Qian Renxue resolve her relationship with Bibi Dong, and Shi Yi later sparred with Qian Renxue before she thanked him for staying with her.
