Shi Yi confronted Tang San, who accused him of causing Xiao Wu’s disappearance and tried to attack him, but Shi Yi subdued him and stripped him of his possessions and clothes. Back at the training ground, Shi Yi warned Dai Mubai through Zhao Wuji and told Zhu Zhuqing she need not feel guilty for the choices he had made.
- Shi Yi told Oscar and the other students that Tang San had returned, and Zhao Wuji warned them not to provoke Tang San or spread what they knew.
- Tang San confronted Shi Yi in the Back Mountain, blaming him for Xiao Wu’s disappearance and attempting to ambush him with hidden weapons.
- Shi Yi restrained Tang San, foiled his attacks, knocked him unconscious, and left him naked on the Back Mountain path after taking his Soul Tools.
- Shi Yi returned to the training ground and warned Dai Mubai to be ready for Tang San, then told Zhao Wuji to keep an eye on him.
- Zhu Zhuqing apologized to Shi Yi, and he told her not to feel guilty because helping her had been his choice.
