Upon learning of this, the Unicorn Demon King was rather surprised.
"I have seen your nephew's Seven Laws Lantern as well. It truly has its own remarkable qualities. That female cultivator actually neutralized it in a single move?"
"I watched her fight. On the surface, she dispelled the Seven Laws Lantern with effortless ease, but in truth, her control over the power of laws was far from precise. That move cost her a great deal of strength."
The Golden Armor King curled his lips into a smile. "My foolish nephew was thrown into disarray when the Seven Laws Lantern was destroyed, and she easily bluffed him. Had he been more meticulous, he might not necessarily have lost."
"Even so, she is quite impressive. If you want to bring her along, then do so. I have no objections, so long as she does not delay our great undertaking. But to be safe, let White Veil observe her first."
As he spoke, the Unicorn Demon King cast White Veil a meaningful look.
The Golden Armor King felt somewhat displeased, but did not show it. "White Veil, I'll trouble you."
White Veil, who had remained silent all this time, gave a slight nod and closed her eyes to begin her observation.
As time passed, strands of gray thread emerged from her palm. At times they wandered; at times they tangled together.
But just then, one of the threads suddenly snapped and fell back into her palm.
That broken thread seemed like some kind of signal. Immediately afterward, all the other gray threads snapped as well, gradually vanishing from her palm.
"How was it? Did you get a result?"
The Unicorn Demon King stared at the vanished gray threads, his brows drawing together slightly.
When White Veil conducted observations, the gray threads rarely broke.
