I had originally planned to wrap things up. The outline had a Mortal Realm Arc and a Spirit Realm Arc; I had some ideas and a rough framework for an Immortal Realm Arc, but it was the sort of thing I could write or not write.
But after writing for a year, I was feeling rather exhausted. I had planned not to write the Immortal Realm Arc, to end it at ascension and finish the story there. That way, I could ensure the whole novel would not fall apart. But everyone seemed to be looking forward to the Immortal Realm Arc, and there were indeed some loose ends left untied. All I could do was grit my teeth and keep going.
I will write the Immortal Realm Arc, and I will do my best to keep it from falling apart. But I need to take a few days off to rest, and while I am at it, flesh out the Immortal Realm Arc's worldbuilding and overall plot. I hope all you dear readers can understand.
I have not taken a break in an entire year. It is not too much to ask for a week off, right? Just treat it as giving me some annual leave, sob sob sob.
Lastly, I want to say sorry to all you dear readers. I nearly prepared to bring this to an end, but I will resume updates in a week. Let me catch my breath; one week of rest will be enough, sob sob. Lastly, thank you all once again.
