Magic.
It usually referred to spells that anyone with the requisite aptitude, energy, and knowledge could use as a matter of course.
Divine techniques could also be classified as spells.
But they referred to special spells that only those acknowledged by a god were qualified to use.
One was a public product; the other was relatively private.
More often than not,
the latter was also a cheat code gods gave to their own believers.
It would generally surpass conventional magic to some extent!
Its requirements for use might be lower, or its power might be greater.
Some could even be cast on credit—even without any magic power in one's body, they could still be unleashed.
After all, if they had no advantages over conventional magic, everyone would be better off researching ordinary spells instead.
And the gods would lose face, too.
Moreover, depending on the god, the divine techniques wielded by their believers could differ drastically.
For example, nine out of ten divine techniques used by followers of the God of Healing were usually defensive type or healing type. As for the remaining one, it might not necessarily be Attack Type—it was even more likely to be a trump card for running away.
In contrast, Orsaga's alias, the Bloody King, made it obvious just from the name alone that he was a Combat Type god—and probably an evil god at that.
Thus, the majority of his divine techniques were naturally Attack Type.
And the extremity of those divine techniques was anything but ordinary.
They were exceedingly radical!
Most of the time, they hurt both others and oneself.
Either kill the enemy, kill oneself, or kill both the enemy and oneself.
Just do it, that was all!
At this very moment,
Kaleid was using precisely such a string of divine techniques.
