On a hillside that had long since been plowed over countless times by the aftermath of various attacks, where even the insects hidden in the soil had been wiped out as collateral damage.
"Your Majesty, are we still going to keep waiting?"
Iolam was wrapped in a thick, pitch-black cloak that concealed his bizarre body and face, leaving only his eyes exposed.
After watching the situation in the distance for a while,
he could not help himself.
He turned to Shar beside him, who had made no further move since launching her surprise attack, landing a vicious blow on the Goddess of Magic—Mystra, and temporarily putting her out of commission, and asked the question above.
As the one being questioned, Shar was as aloof as ever. She did not particularly want to deal with Iolam and, without even turning her head, said directly:
"Just wait. The opportunity I need has not yet arrived..."
And so.
With one side not daring to ask further questions,
and the other too lazy to explain in detail,
both fell silent once more. Their bodies stood motionless like wooden puppets, with only their eyes constantly shifting as they carefully observed the battlefield.
A few minutes later.
Suddenly, from within the spatial passage connecting the Bottomless Abyss (D&D plane) and the Nine-Layered Hell,
an immensely great disturbance erupted.
Even the spatial passage, which had originally been incomparably stable, was forced into turbulence.
Layer upon layer of spatial ripples
spread outward from its edges in a form visible to the naked eye!
Making those spatial passages appear unstable, as though they might split apart at any moment!
The tide of Demonic Beasts that had originally been pouring out like raging rapids also came to an abrupt halt.
It was as though, at the
