Naruto led the Root members back to the Root base in grand fashion.
Karin, who had remained behind at the base, happily went up to greet Naruto when she saw him arrive.
"Lord Naruto."
Karin had originally wanted to call him the more intimate "Naruto," but seeing so many Root members following behind him, she ultimately changed the way she addressed him.

Naruto merely glanced at her without slowing down and continued walking inside.
Karin's position in Root was that of his assistant. Her main responsibility was handling Root's daily affairs whenever he was absent.
Remembering something, Naruto turned his head toward Karin, who was following behind him, and asked, "How is the laboratory I told you to prepare earlier?"
"It has just been cleaned up, but the various experimental instruments have not been moved in yet." Karin adjusted her glasses and answered in a highly professional manner.
She had prepared a great many things in order to fulfill her duties as Naruto's assistant!
Karin believed she would definitely prove useful!

Naruto nodded slightly. "By the way, how did the thing I asked you to investigate go?"
"The investigation has been completed. The report is in the office, and I can bring it to you at any time."
"Mm. I'll go to the laboratory first. Go back and bring me the report."
"And you lot." Naruto turned to the group of men in black suits behind him. "Dismissed!"

This laboratory was located deep within the Root base, buried far underground, and the environment was quite chilly.
