Huo Yuhao and Gu Yuena fought the Abyssal Sage King alongside their allies until Tang San trapped them in a Blood Array Prison and tried to steal their power. After Huo Yuhao freed them with the Golden Dragon King, Tang San betrayed the Abyssal Sage King and fused with him, forcing Huo Yuhao and Gu Yuena to pursue the pair toward the Douluo Plane.
