Dealing With the Symbiote

Silence.

Deathly silence!

On the streets of Queens.

As Xi Nian, in his Tri-Symbiotic Form, landed alone on the ground, the onlookers in the distance, many recording videos on their phones or broadcasting live, were all stunned, frozen like wooden statues.

Their mouths gaped in terror, and a chill colder than the winter frost and snow surged up their spines!

The Iron Man, Tony Stark, who had become New York's undisputed number one superhero within a year and a half of his debut, the one who had intimidated the world with the light of his epoch-making technology...

Had now been swallowed whole by an unknown monster?

It felt like witnessing God himself, the omnipotent one, being killed with one's own eyes, a collapse of faith.

Tonight was destined to be a night of despair for countless people in New York City.

Xi Nian, the culprit on the scene, wasn't thinking that much. He just found Iron Man's interference too troublesome and it greatly affected his hunt for the symbiotes, so he simply "banned" the opponent.

He landed back on the ground.

Xi Nian took a step and walked behind Venom Spider, who was shielding Aunt May with his body.

Although he looked like a creature only slightly larger than an adult's palm, appearing harmless and even a little cute, Venom Spider, with Peter's consciousness in control, understood perfectly how terrifying and unsolvable the unknown creature in the form of a black cat was!

Sensing Xi Nian approaching his body, Venom Spider braced himself with his grayish-green hands on the ground, his knees also touching the earth. Peter's face, partially visible, contorted in pain as he stammered, "Kill me..."

"Please, kill me... I can't control it much longer..."

As he spoke, the grayish-green viscous liquid on his body began to writhe, like decaying, evil sludge, slowly creeping and covering the boy's exposed face.

"No, Peter!" Aunt May below cried, tears streaming down her face, reaching out to try and peel away the grayish-green liquid from Venom Spider's face, but to no avail.

Just as it seemed Peter was about to be re-enveloped by the symbiote's regenerative armor.

Xi Nian, in his Tri-Symbiotic Form, nodded indifferently and raised a cat's paw. "Then, as you wish!"

Crack!

Bones snapped as Xi Nian's claws elongated and enlarged, gripping Venom Spider's hands from behind and lifting its body upwards. His dark tail snaked forward, binding Venom Spider's legs.

He ignored Aunt May's cries from the side.

The corners of the black cat's mouth split unnaturally wide, stretching far beyond its facial contours, transforming into a gaping maw of crisscrossing fangs.

Venom chuckled in his mind, "Should have done this long ago, just swallow it whole!"

Xi Nian ignored its words and said inexplicably, "Bear with it for a moment."

"Huh?" Venom, parasitic within Xi Nian, froze, a sudden, ominous premonition striking him. "Wait, what are you doing?!"

Xi Nian didn't swallow Venom Spider into his dimensional maw. Instead, he took a deep breath, so deep that his chest rapidly expanded like a balloon!

In a short while, his body had grown five to six times its original size.

Venom understood Xi Nian's intention and immediately roared, "You're crazy! Stop, stop it right now!"

Xi Nian ignored it, and had no intention of stopping.

He raised Venom Spider high above his head, gathered his strength, and tilted his jaw upwards.

Xi Nian's mouth aimed at Venom Spider, and he suddenly opened it—

The next second.

People within a five-mile radius instinctively covered their ears, and countless glass windows, car windows, and light bulbs shattered!

"ROOOOOAR!!!!!"

A terrifyingly high-pitched sound wave erupted from his mouth. Xi Nian roared towards the sky like an ancient monster, the sound wave surging in layers like a tide, exploding in the nearby air!

The sound wave transformed into actual sonic waves, carrying an indescribable impact! If it hadn't dispersed towards the night sky, the ground itself would have been stripped bare!

He had directly unleashed an ultrasonic wave.

This terrifyingly powerful scene brought a certain figure to mind for many people.

That was Superman, the god among men, far away in Metropolis!

ZZZT!!

Venom Spider endured the sonic wave's cleansing assault. Its tough regenerative exoskeleton immediately exploded, like water boiling vigorously in a hot pot!

Hiss—

Wisps of grayish-green mucus peeled off Venom Spider's body. Under the impact of the ultrasonic wave, the second symbiote began to be forcibly separated from its host, Peter!

Of course, the second symbiote wasn't the only one enduring the ultrasonic wave.

"What are you doing? Stop it, you'll break our symbiotic state too..." Venom wailed in extreme pain, never expecting Xi Nian to use such a method that harmed the enemy while also damaging himself.

In a state where only one symbiote was parasitic in a human, it was impossible to generate an ultrasonic wave solely through roaring. Only in the Tri-Symbiotic Form, combined with the Essence Devourer Beast, could this be achieved.

"Wait! What's going on?" Venom, beginning to self-destruct, quickly realized that the ultrasonic wave was not affecting Xi Nian's main body at all.

Xi Nian, his human rationality returning, smiled and responded mentally, "I only acquired your ability; I didn't inherit the corresponding weakness."

"So you already noticed." Venom suddenly understood. From the very beginning, Xi Nian hadn't intended to deal with only the second symbiote, but had planned for it all along, including Venom itself.

"Xi Nian, you bastard..."

Before Venom could finish speaking, its liquefied body was forced to separate from Xi Nian, breaking the symbiotic state.

However, because Xi Nian was parasitizing the Essence Devourer Beast, Venom was directly trapped inside the Essence Devourer Beast's body. And since two symbiotes cannot exist in the same host simultaneously, with Xi Nian's 'symbiote' being incredibly powerful and lacking the weakness of ultrasonic frequencies, Venom had no power to seize control of the host and could only be forced into dormancy on the Essence Devourer Beast!

Having detached from the Tri-Symbiotic Form, Xi Nian, retaining the nature of the symbiote's abilities independently, continued to parasitize the Essence Devourer Beast.

In his mind, the evil, negative thoughts that had influenced his self were swept away.

Only the Essence Devourer Beast's "meow, meow" of approval could be heard.

Xi Nian let out a sigh of relief, his full rationality as a human restored.

Recalling his state just moments ago, he still felt a pang of fear!

The Tri-Symbiotic Form's abilities were indeed unimaginably powerful. But in that state, his thoughts and actions would become increasingly extreme and evil, until he devolved into a monster purely driven by the desire to kill!

The symbiote Venom had outwardly cooperated, but in reality, it had been constantly guiding him towards the abyss of irrationality, trying to seize control of this body!

The symbiote Venom fell into a shutdown-like dormancy.

Xi Nian, parasitizing the Essence Devourer Beast, still maintained the overall appearance of the Black Cat, but the white markings on its lower abdomen were gone. The cold and evil aura emanating from its body vanished, making it look more like an ordinary cat.

Xi Nian looked up, watching the second symbiote that had separated from Peter.

Without hesitation, he opened his mouth wide again. This time, his maw transformed into a bottomless black hole, swallowing the second symbiote that was trying to escape!
