015 Adventure Missions

There was no woman who disliked having her beauty praised. A few words from Qian Bing had Nurse Joy beaming with delight. After chatting idly for a while, the two finally turned to the subject he was really concerned about.

"There are indeed a few missions suitable for beginner Trainers, but setting aside the ones that are a little too difficult, only two are suitable for you in the end."

"What types of missions are they? And what do they involve?"

Mission Details: The Pokémon Care Center currently requires two female Kakuna of Elite Grade or higher to serve as breeding Pokémon.

Mission Reward: 20,000 Alliance Coins and 100 Adventurer Points per Pokémon. (If the Pokémon provided is of a grade higher than Elite Grade, the reward will be increased as appropriate.)

Mission Duration and Restrictions: Until the required number has been acquired.

"Sudden Mission: Viridian Forest's Mysterious Current":

Mission Grade: B Grade

Mission Details: Recently, Pokémon in Viridian Forest have frequently been injured by abnormal electrical currents. A Trainer is needed to investigate the situation, determine whether the abnormality was caused by humans or Pokémon, and assess its approximate strength.

Mission Reward: 50,000 Alliance Coins and 300 Adventurer Points.

Mission Duration and Restrictions: This mission will be issued to multiple parties. There is no time limit, but only the Trainer who is first to determine the situation and report it to the Pokémon Center will receive the reward.

Both missions were indeed highly suitable for Qian Bing. The first Capture Mission went without saying—Joy had clearly taken into account the types of missions he usually accepted and his preferences before deliberately choosing it for him.

As for the second Sudden Mission, Qian Bing silently weighed it in his mind.

Generally speaking, the difficulty grades of the other three mission types were fairly accurate.

After taking care of these trivial matters, he quickly left the Pokémon Center and prepared to begin the two missions he had just accepted.

Both missions required racing against other Trainers to complete them. Being even one second late in turning one in might let someone else get there first, causing him to miss the reward and waste his time.

Still, Qian Bing spent some time thinking about which mission should take priority.

What a brat. Such a pretty little girl, yet she insists on holding a bug. You're the strange one, okay?

Qian Bing grumbled inwardly, but the smile on his face became even gentler:

"Haha, sorry. That was rude of me. I'm a fan of Bug-type Pokémon, and I want to capture a Kakuna to raise as well. Yours looks especially well-developed, so I couldn't help wanting to come over and get close to it.

"But if it doesn't want to, that's fine. Can you tell me where I can capture a Kakuna as cute as yours?"

"Oh, is that so?"

The suspicion in the girl's heart faded somewhat. She raised her hand and pointed in a direction for Qian Bing.

"Follow Route 22 straight ahead. At the end, it will connect to Route 2. Route 2 links Viridian City and Pewter City, but there's a stretch of Viridian Forest in the middle of the road. I captured my Kakuna there."

"There are Kakuna in Viridian Forest? That's wonderful! Thank you!"
