With the tacit approval of several other civilizations possessing Characteristic Technology, they traveled onward while constantly comforting the Celestial Star Civilization in various ways, hoping it could hold on a little longer.
Perhaps because the Silver Heart Civilization was willing to spend heavily, it provided supplies, promised technology, and even leaked word when the Celestial Star Civilization showed distrust, saying it could consider deep cooperation with them and, at the appropriate time, sell them some of the races within its civilization that possessed talent for researching Three-Dimensional Space Travel.
This delighted the Celestial Star Civilization.
Although some within the Celestial Star Civilization suggested it was merely an empty promise, and everyone believed it probably was, they were still willing to believe in that tiny possibility.
What if the Silver Heart Civilization was telling the truth?
Then wouldn't they also be able to possess Characteristic Technology like the Silver Heart Alliance? It was Characteristic Technology. With it, they could speak loudly when dealing with other civilizations.
The Celestial Star Civilization was tempted. They knew perfectly well that the Silver Heart Civilization would not share the Characteristic Technology it had obtained through such painstaking effort, but they could not help fantasizing.
