"So this Fourth Cosmic Phase Transition..."
As they listened to the Starry Sky Defenders' account, some still clung to one last hope, hoping the universe's future was not truly that terrible.
But things did not go as they wished.
The Starry Sky Defenders sighed. "The Electromagnetic Separation Phase Transition!"
The Starry Sky Defenders extinguished the last bit of everyone's wishful thinking. This universe, it seemed, was already broken beyond repair.
Because of this explosive piece of information, everyone also fell into a long silence.
A cosmic phase transition. In truth, everyone present knew what it meant. They simply had not wanted to believe that such a method could actually exist.
As everyone knew, in the evolution of the universe from nothing into existence, it had mainly undergone three important phase transitions—at least, that was the case so far.
In the early period after the universe was born, at the very beginning of time, gravity, the Electromagnetic Force, the weak force, and the strong force had all been parts of a single force.
In the theories of every civilization, this force was called the Superforce.
According to the cosmic evolution theories of each civilization, when the universe reached an age of 10^-43 seconds, its diameter was only 10^-33 centimeters, and at that time both matter and energy were composed of complete Superstrings.
At that moment, Quantum Gravity was just as Superstrings described: the dominant force of the universe.
It was in the universe of that time that the first phase transition occurred: the Gravitational Separation Phase Transition.
At 10^-43 seconds after the Big Bang, the ten-dimensional universe of space split into a four-dimensional universe and a Six-Dimensional Universe. The Six-Dimensional Universe collapsed to a tiny scale of 10^-32 meters, while the four-dimensional universe rapidly expanded, and its temperature reached 10^32 kelvin.
