The Boundary Breakers waited for death to descend like bones in a tomb, while the group of civilizations they believed had already perished, on the other side of the universe, pressed forward again and again, crossing Star Systems again and again.
Tens of millions of light-years, then tens of millions more; relying on the "Star Accelerator," they crossed the stars, paying the price of one Star System after another dimming as they kept striving onward.
Facts proved that there truly were no Cosmic Disasters on the road to the central region of the great void—at least, none that anyone had encountered so far. That was good news. Even so, the road was not easy, because the interior of the great void was simply too empty, making it impossible to travel in a straight line.
The three Great Voyage Organizations could only advance step by step, setting one winding-route Star System after another as their target as they gradually drew closer to the center of the great void.
The interior of the great void was empty, but there were still some galaxies within it. This was also the foundation that allowed the three Great Voyage Organizations to enter the great void at all. Without them, with the abilities of Level Six Civilizations, entering would have meant certain death.
But clearly, the three Great Voyage Organizations could not keep zigzagging back and forth like this forever, because the Cosmic Cataclysm zone was chasing them from behind at light speed. Take too many detours, and the Catastrophe Zone would inevitably catch up. Moreover, everyone understood that reaching the central region of the great void would not mean it was over, because the purpose of the Great Voyage was not to reach the finish line and claim victory, but to master Vacuum Zero-Point Energy.
