The soldiers who had lost communications shouted soundlessly.
After tossing a few handfuls of sand over themselves, the soldiers stopped worrying about anything else and took the lead in running toward the transport ships.
The transport ships were not far from the New Base construction site, only about three hundred meters away. However, wearing Spacesuits made them relatively slow, though a few people had already reached the transport ships.
The technicians operating Engineering Vehicles and other construction equipment at the site had also reacted.
After seeing that patch of red on the horizon, the Engineering Vehicles floored it and raced toward the transport ships as if their lives depended on it, picking up other people who were running along the way.
The distance was not far, but that patch of red on the horizon was not slow either. In less than half a minute, the streak of red in everyone's eyes had turned into an expanse of red.
It drew closer and closer.
Gradually, a corner of the red star in the sky above Ross 154-4 Planet was obscured. From the ground, it looked as though a red carpet had risen from the horizon and was slowly crawling over the star in the sky.

Those four words surfaced in everyone's minds, but the red mass on the horizon was no celestial dog.
The Ross 154 Star was gradually covered by that red mass, and the ground slowly darkened. As they ran, people discovered that the red mass had grown even larger.
The entire horizon, the entire sky, lay beneath its shroud.
Once the red star was blocked out, the people on the ground could even clearly see
