Breaking Through the Maze

Heaven rewards those who work hard. The arduous efforts of Humanity's First Fleet had finally paid off.

Over the more than ten years that everyone had devoted themselves fully to research, the First Fleet achieved something even they found unbelievable. They overcame one technical challenge after another and ultimately built the first theoretically viable prototype of a Third Generation Warp Engine.

The prototype's emergence stemmed from Humanity's technological breakthrough in the Grand Unified Force Field.

The theory remained the same, but through the efforts of everyone in the First Fleet, they eventually discovered another, simpler and more efficient algorithm. Combined with breakthroughs in engine manufacturing processes and advances in materials technology, Humanity finally obtained a more powerful Grand Unified Force Field.

With the support of that more powerful Grand Unified Force Field, the prototype Third Generation Warp Engine came into being.

Though the First Fleet was called a fleet, it also possessed all kinds of Engineering Spaceships and factories. After all, it was Humanity's flagship fleet. Its productive capacity certainly could not compare to that of the civilization main body, but manufacturing certain specialized creations was not a problem.

Thus, the prototype was born in such an environment, and its test voyage began after it appeared and was installed aboard a warship.

As they watched the test ship enter its launch preparation sequence, everyone in the First Fleet was overwhelmed with emotion and pride. They had actually upgraded their Engine Technology and produced Third Generation Engine Technology in such a short time.

In the Great Universe, at the pace they had lived by within the Human Civilization cluster, that would have been utterly impossible. Yet this very thing, which everyone had believed impossible, had truly happened here.
