Naturally, neither civilization could cross the barrier to learn the current state of the Dynamic Image Civilization, and the situation inside the Small Universe forced both civilizations to face it together.

At least until they found a way out and located the assets left behind by the Precursors, conflict between them was impossible.

Human Civilization did not want conflict, and neither did the Orange Star Civilization. After some discussion, both sides tacitly began surveying this Small Universe.

The Small Universe had a diameter of one thousand light-years. The two civilizations decided to explore half each and agreed that if either found a way out in its designated region, it would notify the other. As for whatever the Precursors had left behind, if it still existed, it would belong to whoever found it first.

This assumption rested on the Dynamic Image Civilization not having obtained the inheritance. Humanity believed there was a high probability that the Dynamic Image Civilization had not obtained it, perhaps had not even entered this place, but they obviously could not say that to the Orange Star Civilization. They could just keep misunderstanding.

As for the Orange Star Civilization having once nominally been among the Star Alliance Members, neither side mentioned a single word about it. Under these circumstances, Humanity would not consider it, and presumably neither would the Orange Star Civilization.

Given the current situation, never mind the Star Alliance—avoiding a fight was already good enough.

After roughly negotiating the details, the two civilizations built a communications relay where they were, then turned and returned to their respective designated regions to continue exploring.

A Small Universe was still a universe. As a body of Three-Dimensional Space and Four-Dimensional Space-time, it had no absolute center any more than the Great Universe did. Therefore, there was no scramble
