Humanity no longer felt any attachment to its more than nine hundred thousand Artificial Intelligence-piloted warships. They had long known they would not be getting them back. So, the moment the passage appeared, they hesitated no longer. All 2,994 warships immediately pushed their Warp Engines to maximum and headed for the end of the passage.
Yet the instant Human Civilization's First Fleet passed through the passage and returned to the Great Universe, what they detected nearly made them turn around and leave. No, they did not even need to turn around, because what Humanity detected was right behind their fleet.
This so-called thing was the fleets of the Dynamic Image Civilization and the Orange Star Civilization. They had come out as well, in the exact opposite direction from the one they had entered.
Of course, their positions differed from where they had been upon entering, and so did their numbers.
Like Humanity's fleet, these two civilizations also had warships piloted by Strong Artificial Intelligence, but the proportion did not seem to be as high as Humanity's.
Based on what Humanity detected, the Dynamic Image Civilization had originally possessed four million warships. Now, fewer than 1.3 million remained, a little over half.
The Orange Star Civilization had retained far more. Their unmanned warships apparently had not been numerous to begin with. They had entered with two million ships, and they still had 1.8 million now. Their Unmanned Warships seemed to have been used only for support.
"Human Civilization! What the hell did you do? What Pioneer Small Universe treasure? From what we can see, it was a trap! Our entire unmanned fleet has lost contact! What exactly happened? If you don't give us an explanation, don't even think about—uh, you..."
