Awaiting the Enemy's Defeat

Among Level 4 Civilizations, only the human fleet could manage to face a spaceship a full technological tier above itself while balancing both aspects so well.

Yet such attacks caused little trouble for the Dynamic Image Civilization. They controlled the Level 5 Civilization spaceship, weaving through one attack after another by leveraging its superior maneuverability. Of course, because humanity's Third-Person Piloting Mode was so powerful, many of the attacks were predictive and numerous, so the Level 5 Civilization spaceship could not evade them all.

For attacks it could not evade, the spaceship simply relied on its Real Shield. It did not mindlessly tank the hits, but chose weaker points in the barrage and charged through the encirclement of firepower.

Beneath an endless web of firepower, this Level 5 Civilization probe spaceship was like a mighty being leaping from a sea of flames clad in a fireproof cloak, completely unscathed.

This sight also made the arriving humans feel the strength of the Real Shield. It was practically flawless.

Humanity did not know whether Level 5 Civilizations possessed other weapons capable of breaking shields. At least at the Level 4 Civilization stage, humanity had no shield-breaking technology. All they could do now was find ways to hit it, force it to display the effects of its Real Shield more often, and observe it for possible weaknesses.

Other than that, they could only fight head-on. A shield, no matter how perfect, still required energy and had a limit to what it could withstand. Humanity believed that if their attacks exceeded that limit, there would be a chance to break it.
