"Commander, let's retreat! There's no point continuing this war. As long as that Individual Civilization hasn't arrived yet, we can still leave in time."
After three years of war, the Star Sea Grand Alliance fleet had been reduced to just over a million warships. Most had been destroyed by humanity's three thousand warships, while some had been accidentally damaged by their own large-scale attacks against the human warships.
During that time, they had tried every possible method, yet they had never managed to destroy another human warship.
They had hit the Human Flagship many times, but it had remained completely unharmed. They even believed the Human Flagship had deliberately allowed itself to be hit in order to crush their morale.

If they had fled three years ago, they could have escaped two or three hundred light-years away. But three years had passed, and this fleet no longer had much fuel left.
They could force their way out, but after traveling just over a hundred light-years at most, they would be stranded. By then, a fleet without fuel would become nothing but targets.
