A massive pillar of lightning formed in an instant, then shot outward. The entire Battle Arena was flooded with electrical currents and arcs, forcing out energy particles of every other type.

At the center of the Battle Arena, the mass of lightning and the pillar of fire collided violently.

A tremendous explosion erupted, and a huge blast of energy swept outward in all directions.

The smoke from the explosion blocked Eichi and Kado's vision, and the powerful shockwave forced their eyes shut.

If they were not careful, their bodies could be blown away.

A few seconds later, the smoke dispersed, revealing two figures: Manectric and Scizor. Aside from dust, Manectric was completely uninjured. Scizor, on the other hand, already bore marks left by the electrical current. It seemed Manectric had gained the upper hand in that exchange.

Eichi was slightly surprised. This guy has some skill, but that's all.

"Scizor, Agility!"

"Manectric, use Thunderbolt across the entire field!"

In an instant, Scizor vanished from where it stood. Earlier, red afterimages could still be seen around the field, but now there was nothing at all.

"Roar!!"

Manectric let out a huge roar, and countless currents surged from its body, spreading like a ring across the entire Battle Arena.

In the next instant, Scizor appeared behind Manectric.

"Cross Cut!"

Its two pincers came together, aimed at Manectric's body, as countless streams of energy began flowing through Scizor.

They passed through every corner of its body before enough energy gathered within its pincers. It then slashed forward, forming a white cross in the air.

The brilliance of that instant drew everyone's attention.

Then, one second before the electrical arcs struck Scizor, the white energy cross slammed viciously into Manectric's body.
