In the backyard, a long table had been set up and covered with a pristine white tablecloth.
It was laden with all kinds of delicious food, with even more dishes placed beside it.
Kona said, "Everyone, please enjoy the food."
Tetsu picked up a pastry and took a bite.
"Mmm, delicious!"
Tetsu's eyes lit up. Looking at Eichi, he said, "Kona, this tastes pretty good."
"It's no worse than the chef at my house."
Kona said smugly, "Of course. I paid quite a price to hire my family's chef."
"Unlike you."
Tetsu was unconvinced. "Not necessarily."
"Alright, we came here to eat, not to compare whose chef is better," Eichi said.
Only then did Tetsu and Kona stop bickering and begin talking about other things.
Everyone then happily enjoyed dinner together.
Opportunities for everyone to gather, eat, and chat like this only came a few times each semester.
They all enjoyed it.
Especially the Pokémon with particularly big appetites. When did they ever get to eat food like this normally? Every one of them ate to their hearts' content.
They chatted while eating, and the atmosphere remained very friendly.
Only Ramo was still rather shy. Sometimes he wanted to join in, but he could not find a chance to speak.
Seeing this, Eichi said nothing. He merely gave Tetsu a look, and Tetsu instantly understood.
He asked, "Ramo, what does your family do?"
Everyone's gaze turned to Ramo. Caught off guard by the sudden question, he froze for a moment before nervously saying, "My family is pretty ordinary. My dad works for the power company, and my mom grows Berries at home."
Tetsu praised him, "Then you're amazing. To make it into the top ten of the grade in that kind of environment, you feel much better than me."
