The Indigo League ended soon after. Watching Ash in the arena, Eichi knew it was almost time—within the next few days.
He stepped out of his room and looked at the scenery outside: azure skies, a gentle breeze, and brilliant sunshine.
Eichi's blood began to stir slightly as well.
Four days later, Eichi headed to the Pokémon Center in Tokiwa City as usual.
Looking haggard, Nurse Joy handed a box to Eichi and forced a smile. "Eichi, your Pokémon are all very healthy."
After fastening the Poké Balls from the box to his waist, Eichi said, "Thank you."
Nurse Joy suddenly looked at Eichi and asked, "Eichi, could I ask you for a favor?"
Eichi smiled. "Nurse Joy, you look pale today. Is there some problem I can help with?"
Nurse Joy said, "My cousin is the Nurse Joy at the Pokémon Center in Dock Town."
"But she recently disappeared. She vanished without leaving behind any word at all."
"I asked Officer Jenny in Dock Town to look for her, but she still hasn't been found."
"Eichi, could I ask you to go to Dock Town and help me find my cousin?"
Upon hearing that, Eichi thought to himself, So the plot is beginning.
After considering it for a moment, he said, "Of course. Nurse Joy has helped me a great deal, and I happen to be free. I'll leave today."
Nurse Joy's eyes lit up, and she said happily, "Really? That's wonderful."
"Please, I'm counting on you!" Nurse Joy gave him a deep bow.
Eichi said seriously, "Leave it to me."
The weather was good today, perfect for going out.
Dock Town lay between Pallet Town and Tokiwa City, and it had a dock leading out to the sea.
That was how Dock Town got its name.
