Dragonair's body swayed slightly as the Water Pillar blasted toward the incoming spinning shell.
The stream continuously washed over the shell, and gradually, its rotation slowed more and more.
It even began showing signs of being pushed backward.
Seeing this, Dragonair increased its output.
With a whoosh, the shell was blasted away.
The shell slammed into the ground and returned to its original form, Squirtle's limbs involuntarily sticking out.
It shook its head and only managed to climb up from the ground after a while.
It vigorously shook its head to pull itself together. It seemed the previous blow had dealt it quite a lot of damage.
Ash shouted, "Squirtle, hang in there!"
"Alright, let's keep fighting!"
"Squirtle, use Iron Defense!"
"Squirtle, Squirtle!"
A gray glow covered Squirtle's body before sinking into its skin.
Iron Defense was mainly used to raise one's own defense, but using it now was not appropriate.
The gap in their levels was simply too enormous. Raising its defense by that little amount was completely useless.
"Dragonair, use Thunder Wave!"
Everyone then saw arcs of electricity begin to emerge from Dragonair's horn.
They swiftly spread outward from it in every direction.

Squirtle panicked. "Squirtle, Squirtle!"
Eichi said, "Dragonair, use Water Gun!"
Dragonair opened its mouth. Water gathered like a whirlpool before shooting out like a water pillar.
Ash cried, "Dodge it!"
