Eichi and the Silver Academy staff fought through Team Rocket’s forces as they tried to escape the cave, but Captain Yao Shiwan blocked their way with six powerful Pokémon. Beedrill and Scizor knocked out two opponents with their strongest attacks, but they were left unable to move as two more Team Rocket captains arrived.

  • Eichi released Heracross and joined Tetsu and the staff in fighting Team Rocket’s Pokémon, while Director Liu and Ping Gang battled elsewhere in the cave.
  • Eichi and the others neared the cave entrance, but Captain Yao Shiwan blocked their path with six Gym Leader-level Pokémon.

Ch. 230Teacher Xiaolin’s Two Ferocious Beasts

Eichi and the students were overwhelmed as Yao Shiwan gained the support of Kawai and Ueno, whose Gym Leader-level Pokémon defeated the students' team. Just as the captains moved in to capture them, Teacher Xiao Lin arrived and released three Pokémon to protect her students.

  • Heracross dodged Arbok and Zubat while buying time, then struck Zubat with Brick Break.
  • Kawai and Ueno released twelve powerful Pokémon, including Kawai's Peak Gym Leader-level Feraligatr.
  • Feraligatr knocked out Tetsu's Houndoom, and the captains' Pokémon defeated the students' remaining Pokémon until only Heracross remained.

Teacher Xiao Lin rescued Eichi and the others by defeating Yao Shiwan, Kawai, and Ueno with her Aggron, Rhyperior, and Tyranitar. She led the group out of the cave, where Sato, Kona, and Xiao Ye came to meet them.

After Eichi and the others escaped, Team Rocket’s retreat turned the White Iron Ore mine into a chaotic battle as the police and teachers fought to capture the attackers. Teacher Xiao Lin joined Director Ji Dao against one executive, while another executive fled from Director Liu into the cave.

  • Teacher Xiao Lin sent Eichi and the others with Sato and Aggron to shelter among the mine workers, then went to help the police.
  • Eichi thanked Aggron and explained to Tetsu and the others that Aggron was a rare Steel- and Rock-type Pokémon from the Hoenn Region.

Ch. 233Two New Executives

Director Liu and the others pursued Ping Gang and San Zhi, but a Team Rocket aircraft arrived and rescued them with the help of executives Xiao Cang and Saliste. Director Liu returned to the cavern, where Chui Shi was still holding Yi Suo at bay.

  • Exeggutor used Self-Destruct, killing several Team Rocket members and destroying itself as Ping Gang escaped.
  • Director Liu, Director Ji Dao, and Teacher Xiao Lin pursued Ping Gang and San Zhi, who fled on Aerodactyl.

Ch. 236Back to School

After Team Rocket rushed to evacuate the remaining White Iron Ore from its mountain warehouse, Eichi and the other students returned safely to Silver Academy and reflected on their weakness after the battle. Director Liu then summoned Eichi, Tetsu, Sato, and the other students to his office and prepared to address them.

  • Saliste ordered Team Rocket members to evacuate the warehouse within half an hour after learning that Pokémon League forces were approaching, and she, Ping Gang, and the others escaped by plane.
  • Eichi and the students returned to Silver Academy, where the Vice Principal and Director Liu welcomed them and Eichi and Tetsu went back to their dormitory to rest.
  • Eichi, Tetsu, and Sato separately thought about the battle and felt the pressure of their own weakness compared with Eichi's Pokémon.
  • Director Liu summoned Eichi, Tetsu, Sato, and the other students from their grade to his office, where Teacher Xiao Lin was also present.

Ch. 237The Substitute Teacher’s Call

Director Liu praised Eichi and the others for resisting Team Rocket, awarded them credits, and told Eichi about the League’s raid. The next day, Eichi received a call from Teacher Jiang Ben and asked how things were in the Sinnoh Region.

With seven matches played and the score beyond recovery, Eichi watched Director Liu and the other Silver Academy leaders endure the crushing defeat.

  • A Silver Academy senior student defeated an Indigo Academy girl’s team with Vileplume and Onix after Cyndaquil lost to Marill.
  • Silver Academy won the second match, and Aze and the other students grew overconfident despite a teacher’s warning.
