Ch. 146Primordial Four Elements: Three Obtained

Hawk defeated Earth Demon Gogom and absorbed the Earth Elemental into his Cosmo, then tracked Fire Demon Salamander to a volcano. Salamander saw the auras of his captured brothers on Hawk and refused to come out, leaving Hawk to prepare to confront him inside the volcano.

  • Earth Demon Gogom found Hawk while searching for Ariel, and Hawk claimed Ariel had gone to help him before striking Gogom.
  • Hawk dodged Gogom’s stone spikes, punched through his chest, and pulled out his earth core, causing Gogom to dissolve into sand.

Ch. 147The Sancrist Contract Is the Key to Starting the War for Supremacy (Third Update!)

Hawk devoured Fire Demon Salamander, adding the Fire Element to his Cosmo and bringing his first planet closer to forming. Memories from Earth Demon revealed Blackheart’s plan to challenge Mephisto with the Four Primal Demons and the Sancrist Contract, leaving Hawk interested in the contract’s power over Earth’s souls.

  • Hawk confronted Fire Demon Salamander in the volcano and said he intended to use him to assist his cultivation.

Hawk found Carter Slade, the first Ghost Rider, guarding the Sancrist Contract and made a deal to take it in exchange for stopping Blackheart. After Hawk claimed the contract, its thousand-plus evil souls tried to tempt him, but fell silent before his overwhelming darkness.

  • Hawk met Carter Slade at the cemetery and revealed that he knew she was hiding the Sancrist Contract in the shovel.

Ch. 156The Birth of the Black Phoenix King of the Underworld (Fourth Update!)

Hawk used the Time Stone to bring his Cosmo’s Underworld into existence and shape its landmarks, including the King of the Underworld’s temple and Black Phoenix Underworld Armor. After spending two days inside the library, he returned to Gwen and prepared to face Mephisto with a surprise of his own.

  • Gwen waited outside the library, and The Ancient One invited her to tea while Hawk remained inside.
  • Hawk used the Time Stone to create and rapidly develop the Underworld within his Cosmo.

  • Ghost Rider returned to Texas and attacked Hawk with his Hellfire-wreathed Soul Chain, but Hawk evaded it and pummeled him into the canyon cliffs.

Ch. 159Johnny Finally Reunited with His Father

Johnny Blaze was dragged to Hell, where Mephisto condemned him and learned that Hawk had killed Blackheart and taken the fragment of the Law of Life and Death. Hawk reunited with Sharon in the canyon, then set out to find Hell while Mephisto planned to use Anya against him.

  • Mephisto threw Johnny Blaze into a cage to suffer for ten thousand years after blaming him for separating from the Spirit of Vengeance and failing to defeat Hawk.

Ch. 160The Might of Eastern Elegance (Fourth Update!)

Hawk forced open a path to Hell and confronted Mephisto, demanding that he return Anya’s soul. Mephisto revealed his demonic form and refused, leaving Hawk facing him with the black Phoenix at his side.

  • Hawk used the Law of Life and Death to open a vortex to Hell, warned Sharon to return to her vehicle, and stepped through.
  • Hawk cleared away the evil spirits around the Gate of Hell and punched the gate, calling Mephisto out.
  • Mephisto welcomed Hawk and claimed that Anya was waiting at his palace, but Hawk demanded that Mephisto bring out her soul.

Ch. 161What Will I Do in the Days Ahead? Nothing (First Update!)

Hawk transformed into the Black Phoenix Underworld Armor and confronted Mephisto in Hell, demanding his sister’s soul in exchange for the Sancrist Contract. The chapter ended with Mephisto holding Anya hostage while Hawk dared him to harm her, threatening to dedicate himself to ruining Mephisto’s control over souls.

  • Hawk summoned his Underworld projection and donned the Black Phoenix Underworld Armor, sending Mephisto flying during the transformation.

Hawk rejected Mephisto’s attempt to use Anya against him and attacked him in Hell, protecting his sister from swarming demons with a devastating Phoenix Wing. After Hawk broke one of Mephisto’s horns, Mephisto demanded that Hawk leave Hell with Anya and surrender the Sancrist Contract, but Hawk said that was no longer enough.

  • Hawk refused to let Mephisto threaten Anya into controlling him and struck Mephisto in the face.
  • Hawk fought through Mephisto’s Hell-energy attacks as soul-eating demons emerged from the ground and approached Anya.
