Well. I have an announcement—good news for me, but possibly bad news for everyone.
Tomorrow, on the first, this book will be put behind a paywall.
That means the chapters afterward will start costing money.
Of course, I hope many people will subscribe to my book. After all, it means I can earn money.
But the reality is not that optimistic. Everyone is struggling through life, and not everyone necessarily has spare money to read novels. On top of that, with the recent pandemic, people are probably trying to save whatever they can.
Reading pirated copies is normal. Although I'm an author, I occasionally read pirated copies too, because sometimes I really don't have spare money but still really want to read.
And some authors really do pad their chapters, making many people feel that they aren't worth paying for. I understand that too.
To those who can support the official release through subscriptions, I would like to express my deepest thanks.
As for readers of pirated copies, to be honest, I definitely won't be happy about it, but I won't curse anyone out either. Everyone has their own difficulties. We should try to understand one another more in life; there's no need for so much hostility. That is also the main theme of the book I'm writing.
I only hope that readers of pirated copies, if you later come across plot developments that make you unhappy, please try to restrain yourselves and avoid coming to the comments section to post negative comments. Not only would that make me unhappy, it would also affect the legitimate readers who are reading the book.
