The young Xiao Yan suddenly opened his eyes and sat up, only for a sharp pain to course through his body, making him bare his teeth.
Xiao Yan looked around and found himself in a completely unfamiliar room.
Just then, the door opened and a woman in a Healer Robe walked in. When she saw Xiao Yan sitting up, she cried out in surprise.
"Little brother! Your injuries haven't healed yet, lie back down!"
The woman was about to press down on Xiao Yan's shoulder when he raised a hand to stop her and asked in a deep voice.
"Sister, where is this?"
"This is a medical clinic in Jia Ma Holy City. A man brought you here earlier, then left after leaving behind a large sum of money."
"Is that so?"
Xiao Yan nodded in understanding, recalling the men he had seen in the final moments before losing consciousness.
Clearly, he did not know them. They had most likely come for Little Glutton, and saving him had merely been incidental.

With that thought, Xiao Yan turned over and prepared to get out of bed, causing the woman's face to fill with anxiety.
