As the restaurant opened and faced extortion, Han Feng arrived with ties to Yao Chen’s past and watched Xiao Yan for reasons she had not yet revealed.

• Xiao Yan recovered Feng Qing’er’s Storage Ring from Wen Xing, learned that Wen Xing needed money for his sick sister Liu Yiyi, and paid him while offering to treat her.
• Xiao Yan and Xiao Yi Xian treated Liu Yiyi, heard Wen Xing’s painful history, and persuaded him to help Xiao Yan care for abandoned children in the Black Corner Region.
• Xiao Yan rescued five children from Wang Da and his companions after learning they had been paid to hold them, and Han Feng revealed that she had secretly saved the children from the collapsing house.
• Xiao Yan decided to open a restaurant so the children could earn a living, accepted three million gold coins from Xiao Yi Xian for startup funds, and rented a storefront with Yun Ying’s help.

• Xiao Yan killed the fat man, then later confronted Han Feng after learning she had betrayed Yao Chen, who confirmed Han Feng’s account but could not explain her motives.
• Feng Qing'er bought Three Thousand Lightning Movement at the auction, where Yuan Yi revealed the Black Prison Dark Soul Lock and powerful factions fought over it.
• Han Feng took Xiao Yan aside and asked him to revive the woman whose corpse she had preserved, and Yao Chen recognized the corpse as her own.
• After the children were killed in the battle near the inn, Xiao Yan attacked Mo Tianxing and Old Ghost Demonic Earth, killing the latter with help from Feng Qing'er and Xiao Yi Xian.
• Protector Wu and Protector Tie joined the battle, and Xiao Yan used Han Feng’s Heavenly Flames and Yao Chen’s techniques to severely injure Protector Tie before collapsing.
• When Protector Tie gravely wounded Xiao Yi Xian, Xiao Yan gave in to his violent instincts, then killed Protector Tie after Lv Man intervened.

After Yao Chen and her allies defeat the Soul Hall Protectors, Xiao Yan returns to Jia Nan Academy, where he repairs the Xiao Family’s damage and watches Xiao Mei stage a new drama. The play begins with the story of Xiao Ying, a fallen prodigy struggling to care for her mother.

• Queen Medusa protects Xiao Yan from Protector Xuan, and Xiao Yan awakens as Yao Chen takes control of his body to help defeat the Soul Hall forces.
• Old Mu Gu arrives and nearly kills Xiao Yan, but an unseen attacker wounds him and drives him away.
• Yao Chen forgives Han Feng after learning that her betrayal was meant to prevent Yao Chen from recklessly endangering herself, and Xiao Yan buries the nine dead children before traveling to Jia Nan Academy.
• Xiao Yan returns to the academy, takes responsibility for the Xiao Family students’ destruction, and organizes them to rebuild the damaged buildings and make amends.
• Xiao Mei casts Han Feng in a new drama and recruits Inner Academy students for supporting roles, while Xiao Yan advances to Dou Ling and develops the Earth Sea Heart Flame.
• Xiao Yan, Xiao Yi Xian, and Xun’er attend Xiao Mei’s play, which opens with Xiao Ying being mocked after her cultivation collapses and her family casts her out.

Xiao Ying escaped captivity, built a campaign against Xiao Wuyun, and ultimately defeated him before taking the name Xiao Tiandi. Back in the present, Xiao Yan confronted doubts about his righteous path, found support from Yao Chen, and prepared to return to the Xiao Family as new journeys and secrets gathered around him.

• Xiao Ling discovered that Xiao Wuyun had taken Xiao Ying’s bloodline, freed Xiao Ying from prison, and helped her grow stronger while Xiao Ying secretly served as Xiao Qiu.
• Xiao Ying used Xiao Shengyi’s identity to undermine Xiao Wuyun, gathered support and souls for the Emperor Slaying Formation, and learned that Xiao Qingmo had sacrificed himself for Xiao Qingge’s sake.
• Xiao Ying drew Xiao Wuyun, Xiao Lei, and Xiao Yu into the Emperor Slaying Formation, killed Xiao Lei and Xiao Yu, then joined forces with Xiao Ling against Xiao Wuyun.
