At night, over the boundless sea, a piercing cry suddenly rang out across the sky.
"Whoa."
The resounding cry instantly woke Yakushi Kabuto from his sleep.
Putting on his glasses in a slight panic, Kabuto ran barefoot out of his cabin bedroom and onto the deck without even putting on his coat.
"What happened?" Seeing one of the ship's workers, Kabuto hurriedly stopped him and asked.
"Huh? What do you mean, what happened?" the sailor asked back, staring at Kabuto in confusion.

Creak.
Before Kabuto could continue questioning him, he saw someone walking over from behind the sailor.
"Don't be nervous, Kabuto. A giant eagle merely flew over the ship. It's nothing worth making a fuss over. You can go back to sleep," Soji said helplessly after stepping out of the shadows.
With Soji's explanation, the ship worker seemed to have been granted a reprieve and immediately left.
"Soji-sama, you're still awake this late?" Kabuto was somewhat surprised by Soji's appearance.
But upon thinking about it, it made sense.
After all, even he had heard such a loud cry. How could Soji possibly not have reacted?
By now, after hearing Soji's explanation, Kabuto gradually calmed down.
Still, it was clear that Kabuto remained highly vigilant toward anything happening outside.
"I originally wanted to enjoy the night scenery over the sea. I didn't expect to see a giant eagle too. I suppose staying up this late wasn't a complete waste," Soji said casually.

Going up to the deck in the middle of the night instead of sleeping just to look at the sea? Seriously?
