Ch. 1470Demonic Statue of the Outer Path Joins the Battle

Soji overwhelmed Nagato’s Wood Dragon and Shinra Tensei with Sage Mode and Ice Release, but Nagato summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to shield himself. The two faced off again as the battle continued, with Soji still holding the advantage but unable to seriously harm Nagato.

  • Soji stopped Nagato’s Wood Dragon with one hand and froze it solid.
  • Nagato attacked Soji with a powerful Shinra Tensei, but Soji entered Sage Mode and blocked it with Rotating Ice Lotus.
  • Soji shattered the ice lotus into thousands of ice crows and sent them at Nagato.
  • Nagato summoned the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, which sheltered him from the ice crows and broke free of the frost.
  • Soji and Nagato faced each other again, and Nagato remained determined to fight while Soji recognized that the statue would make ending the battle quickly more difficult.

Ch. 1471Little Darlings

Soji fought Nagato and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, evading a purple Chakra Dragon that could devour souls and tricking Nagato into freezing himself with Sage Chakra. Nagato summoned five giant beasts and prepared a powerful cannon attack from his mechanical arm.

  • Nagato and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path attacked Soji with a purple Chakra Dragon, which Soji evaded after realizing ordinary attacks passed through it.
  • Soji and Nagato clashed with their weapons while Soji avoided the soul-devouring dragon and used Sage Chakra in an Ice Breath attack.
  • Nagato absorbed the Ice Breath with the Preta Path and froze, but the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path blocked Soji's Ice Spear and allowed Nagato to break free.
  • Nagato realized the Preta Path was too dangerous to use against Soji's ninjutsu and summoned the Split Dog, Hell Crab, Chameleon, Yata Crow, and Taurus.
  • Nagato aimed his mechanical right arm at Soji, and a cannon barrel extended as Chakra gathered inside it.

Ch. 1472Tool Sculpture Reappears

Soji and Nagato unleashed powerful attacks, then redirected their destructive shockwaves into the sky to protect Konoha. Soji continued fighting Nagato’s summoned beasts, bringing out Little Gold to battle the Yatagarasu, and left Nagato’s remaining forces defeated.

  • Soji and Nagato’s ultimate techniques collided, and they worked together to redirect the resulting shockwaves upward to spare Konoha and the Jinchuriki.
  • Nagato resumed the battle with his summoned beasts, but Soji froze and shattered the Hell Crab, pierced the chameleon’s tongue, and dodged the Yatagarasu’s bombs.
  • Soji summoned Little Gold, who flew at the Yatagarasu to teach it a lesson.
  • Soji used Dance of the Emerging Ferns to kill Taurus, then froze the Split Dog with Ice Release—Ice Tomb.
  • Soji defeated all of Nagato’s summoned beasts while his battle with Nagato continued.

Ch. 1473The Gap Between Them

Soji overwhelmed Nagato with his unarmed Flowing Rock Shattering Fist, forcing him to use Shinra Tensei to break free. Nagato admitted Soji stood in the way of his plan, but insisted he could still gather the remaining Tailed Beasts and use the Ten-Tails to defeat him.

  • Soji grew wary of Nagato’s strange stillness and asked what scheme he had prepared, but Nagato refused to reveal it unless he lost.
  • Soji froze the last Split Dog, then hurled an Ice Spear that the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path shattered with its right fist.
  • Nagato charged Soji with Chakra Receivers, but Soji’s unarmed Flowing Rock Shattering Fist overwhelmed him and disrupted his Chakra flow.
  • Nagato used Shinra Tensei to blast Soji away, while Soji remained unharmed and Nagato gasped amid his injuries.
  • Soji challenged Nagato’s ability to intimidate the Ninja World, and Nagato replied that he could gather the remaining Tailed Beasts and use the Ten-Tails to defeat Soji.

Ch. 1474Seal Mizuki Ember!

Soji fought Nagato, who used a succession of Uzumaki sealing techniques in an attempt to capture him. When those techniques failed, Nagato unleashed Planetary Devastation, drawing buildings, trees, and earth toward a black sphere above Konoha.

  • Nagato attacked Soji with Adamantine Sealing Chains, but Soji countered with Ice Chains and evaded Nagato's other sealing techniques.
  • Nagato repeatedly tried to restrict or seal Soji, while Soji dodged the techniques and wounded Nagato with Ice Release and Shikotsumyaku.
  • Soji realized Nagato intended to seal him and suspected he would use Planetary Devastation as his final move.
  • Nagato formed a black sphere and activated Planetary Devastation, pulling buildings, trees, and earth into the sky as Konoha's residents watched in shock.

Ch. 1475Final Trump Card—Six Red Sun Formation!

Soji shattered Nagato’s Planetary Devastation with Air Quake, leaving much of the surrounding area in ruins. Nagato then revealed that he had lured Soji away from him to let the Pain Six Paths surround him and trap him inside the Six Red Sun Formation.

  • Nagato used Planetary Devastation, pulling Konoha’s people and the surrounding terrain into the air.
  • Soji used Air Quake to shatter the forming sphere and send the captured boulders, buildings, and trees crashing down.
  • Soji and Nagato exchanged words as the dust cleared, and Nagato insisted he still had a way to seal Soji.
  • Nagato hinted that something was missing from the fight, and Soji realized the Pain Six Paths had not yet appeared.
  • Nagato revealed that he had used Planetary Devastation to create distance while the Pain Six Paths surrounded Soji.
  • The Pain Six Paths formed the Six Red Sun Formation, trapping Soji inside its red hexagonal barrier.

Ch. 1476Lunar Disturbance

Nagato sealed Soji inside the Six Red Sun Formation and left to pursue his plan to capture the Tailed Beasts and impose peace through fear. As Soji waited helplessly in the barrier, Otsutsuki Toneri watched the events in Konoha from the moon and considered destroying the Ninja World.

  • Nagato used the Pain Six Paths and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path to trap Soji in the Six Red Sun Formation.
  • Soji tried Air Quake and Sage Art: Nine Forms of Void Strike, but neither could damage the barrier, and the formation cut off his connection to his main body through Karma.
  • Nagato told Soji that he would capture the Jinchuriki and use the Ten-Tails to deter war, while Soji warned that his plan would bring fear rather than peace.
  • Nagato left Soji sealed, and Soji sat down after realizing he had no way to escape or call on his main body.
  • Otsutsuki Toneri watched Konoha through the Giant Tenseigan from his palace on the moon, still intending to destroy the Ninja World.

Ch. 1477Sky Ninja Attack

Toneri and Shinnō took advantage of Soji being missing and Mizuki Ember being sealed to launch moves against Konoha, which was already under attack by Akatsuki. Meanwhile, the Five Great Shinobi Villages cautiously advanced into the Land of Rain without encountering resistance, leaving them uncertain where Akatsuki was.

  • Toneri opened the Earth-Moon Passage and descended toward Konoha with puppets to seize pure Byakugan from the Hyuga Clan.
  • Otsutsuki Genji sensed the passage opening, and Soji concluded that Toneri was exploiting his absence and Mizuki Ember's confinement by Nagato.
  • Shinnō learned that Akatsuki had attacked Konoha while Konoha's forces were away, then ordered Angkor Fortress to head for the village.
  • Zero-Tails Void joined Shinnō as Angkor Fortress began flying toward Konoha, where Akatsuki was already attacking.
  • The Allied Forces of the Five Great Shinobi Villages entered the Land of Rain without meeting resistance and converged, while Fourth Raikage and Fourth Kazekage Rasa wondered where Akatsuki had gone.

Ch. 1478Tricked, Return to Aid!

A message revealed that the Akatsuki Organization had abandoned its headquarters and was attacking Konoha to seize the remaining tailed beasts, forcing Minato to urge an immediate return.

  • Ōnoki and Mei Terumi confirmed that the Akatsuki Organization's headquarters was believed to be in the Land of Rain, while Minato urged the alliance to advance quickly.
  • The other village leaders rejected Minato's proposal and chose to move slowly, sending scouts ahead to check for danger.
  • Nagato's decision to leave the Land of Rain without setting traps made the alliance increasingly wary and gave the Akatsuki Organization time to attack Konoha.
  • After nearly half a day, the Allied Forces reached Amegakure and prepared for a final assault on the Akatsuki Organization.
  • A messenger hawk delivered a letter to Minato, revealing that the Akatsuki Organization had abandoned its headquarters and was attacking Konoha for the remaining tailed beasts.
  • Minato warned the alliance that they had been tricked and urged everyone to return to Konoha immediately.

Ch. 1479"True Sake" and "Fake Sake"

After learning that the Akatsuki Organization had abandoned its headquarters and attacked Konoha to capture the remaining Tailed Beasts, the Allied Forces rushed back to defend the village. As Konoha descended into battle, the chapter outlined how the Akatsuki’s members fought with conflicting loyalties and motives.

  • Minato revealed Konoha’s message, prompting the Allied Forces to abandon their focus on Amegakure and race toward Konoha.
  • Minato used the Flying Thunder God Technique to leave the main force and hurry ahead, fearing for Kushina, Naruto, and Karin.
  • The Akatsuki Organization’s assault turned Konoha into a battlefield filled with explosions and powerful jutsu.
  • Konan, Deidara, Kakuzu, Hidan, and Zetsu fought for the Akatsuki, while Obito pursued his own revenge against Madara Uchiha.
  • Shisui, Kisame, Hozuki Mangetsu, and Biwa Juzo restrained their attacks on Konoha’s shinobi because they were undercover agents.
  • Sasori searched for the Jinchuriki while Hiruko, brainwashed by Shisui, searched for Konoha’s Nine-Tails Jinchuriki in order to protect them.

Ch. 1480Bombarding Konoha

Shinnō brought Angkor Fortress and the Sky Ninja legion to Konoha, where they launched an indiscriminate bombardment while Akatsuki let them attack. With nearly half the village destroyed, Shinnō prepared to use the Zero-Tails Void to target Hokage Rock and the Hokage Office Building.

  • Shinnō arrived over Konoha in Angkor Fortress and ordered the Sky Ninja legion to bombard the village.
  • Nagato told Akatsuki to leave the Sky Ninja alone unless they attacked, since their assault would create an opportunity to search for the Jinchuriki.
  • The Sky Ninja dropped missiles across Konoha, destroying nearly half the village while evacuations kept casualties relatively low.
  • Konoha’s shinobi recognized the attackers as remnants of the Sky Ninja and vowed to wipe them out after dealing with Akatsuki.
  • Shinnō chose Hokage Rock and the Hokage Office Building as targets and called on the Zero-Tails Void, which began glowing with black light.

Ch. 1481Hyuga Soji's Disciples

  • Shinnō fired Angkor Fortress’s cannon at the Hokage Office Building while the Third Hokage fought Kakuzu and Konoha’s forces battled the Akatsuki and Sky Ninja.
  • Yota summoned a powerful lightning bolt that struck the cannon barrel and redirected its blast into a small mountain behind Hokage Rock.
  • Neji, Kimimaro, Haku, Yota, and Kurama Yakumo flew to Angkor Fortress on Yota’s black eagle after the Sky Ninja bombed Soji’s home.
  • The five disciples fought their way through Angkor Fortress’s maze-like passages and reached its central control room.
  • Neji angrily asked Shinnō whether he had ordered the destruction of their teacher’s home, leaving Shinnō dumbfounded.

Ch. 1482The Disciples Battle Shinnō!

Soji’s five disciples confronted Shinnō over the destruction of their teacher’s house and fought him at Angkor Fortress. Neji, Haku, Yota, and Kimimaro combined their attacks to drive Shinnō into a wall, while Kurama Yakumo watched for an opening.

  • Yota and Kurama Yakumo told Shinnō they had come to avenge the destruction of Hyuga Soji’s house, and Shinnō introduced himself as the Sky Ninja’s leader.
  • Kurama Yakumo declared that Shinnō would not be allowed to live, and the five disciples began fighting him.
  • Kimimaro charged Shinnō, but Shinnō cracked his bone blade with the Bone Splitting Fist.
  • Neji clashed with Shinnō, whose Activation Fist grew stronger with each strike, until Haku blocked a potentially fatal blow with Ice Rock Dome Mu.
  • Neji struck Shinnō with Void Strike and embedded him in a wall, after which Yota sent wind blades and Kimimaro fired bone bullets at him.
  • Kurama Yakumo remained motionless, her eyes gleaming, as the attacks struck the smoke-shrouded wall.

Ch. 1483Zero-Tails Jinchuriki!

Shinnō recovered from the children’s coordinated attack and revealed that he could use the Eight Inner Gates, forcing them to fight carefully. As Kimimaro crippled his right hand and Kurama Yakumo trapped him in a reality-warping genjutsu, Shinnō chose to become the Zero-Tails Jinchuriki.

  • Shinnō regenerated from devastating injuries and confronted the five children, then used the Eight Inner Gates to attack Neji.
  • Kimimaro and Yota saved Neji, who recognized Shinnō’s forbidden technique and warned the others about its power.

  • Kimimaro pierced Shinnō’s right hand with an ancestral Shikotsumyaku bone spike that drained his Chakra.
  • Kurama Yakumo trapped Shinnō in a Five Senses Manipulation genjutsu, and Shinnō summoned the Zero-Tails Void into his body to become its Jinchuriki.

Ch. 1484Sea of Lightning!

Shinnō became the Zero-Tails' Jinchuriki to break free of Kurama Yakumo's genjutsu, then fought Neji, Haku, Kimimaro, and Yota with greatly increased power. Yota unleashed a vast Sea of Lightning against him, leaving Shinnō facing the attack as the chapter ended.

  • Shinnō absorbed the Zero-Tails Void, broke Kurama Yakumo's Five Senses Manipulation, and forced Haku to help her recover from the backlash.
  • Shinnō attacked the others with his restored strength and sent Kimimaro flying, but Kimimaro's bone armor blocked the blow.
  • Haku struck Shinnō with Sage Art: Ice Release—Extreme Cold Storm, but the Zero-Tails' Dark Chakra shattered the frost and drove out its soul-deep cold.
  • Yota drew on the Nine-Tails' Chakra and changed the weather, while Haku raised an Ice Crystal Barrier around himself, Neji, Kimimaro, and Kurama Yakumo.
  • Yota summoned a Sea of Lightning over the battlefield, drawing the attention of Konoha and the Akatsuki Organization as Shinnō braced for the attack.

Ch. 1486Falling!

Yota and Shinnō battled as Yota’s Sea of Lightning battered Angkor Fortress, while Shinnō relied on the Zero-Tails and forbidden medical techniques to survive. Shinnō dispersed the ninth bolt and believed he had won, but Yota transformed the lingering lightning into a giant Thunder God that struck Angkor Fortress and sent it falling.

  • Yota’s Sea of Lightning struck Angkor Fortress repeatedly, damaging its central control room and forcing Sky Ninja soldiers to flee.
  • Shinnō opened the fifth gate and attacked Yota, but Yota’s Wind God’s Wrath blocked him before the eighth lightning bolt struck and injured him.
  • Shinnō healed himself with Dark Chakra, then endured the ninth bolt by opening the sixth gate and using Super Divine Fist to devour the lightning.
  • Shinnō turned to attack Yota, unaware that the Sea of Lightning was reforming as Haku continued protecting the others.
  • Yota summoned Thunder God’s Wrath from the lingering Sea of Lightning, and the lightning giant punched Angkor Fortress down.

Ch. 1487Tailed Beast Transformation, Tentacle Monster

Yota and his companions brought down Angkor Fortress, but Shinnō survived the crash and transformed into the monstrous Zero-Tails Void. Haku, Neji, and Kimimaro began fighting him, and Haku’s ice attacks appeared to exploit his weakness as Shinnō shielded himself with dark Chakra.

  • Yota struck Shinnō with Lightning God's Wrath, destroying Angkor Fortress’s central control room and sending the fortress crashing into Konoha.
  • Haku protected Yota, Neji, Kimimaro, and Kurama Yakumo with an Ice Crystal Barrier, and the group emerged from the wreckage unharmed.
  • Shinnō crawled from the rubble with severe injuries, regenerated with jelly-like matter and tentacles, and completed his Tailed Beast Transformation into Zero-Tails Void.
  • Yota, drained of Chakra, stood aside while Haku, Neji, and Kimimaro took the lead against Shinnō.
  • Neji deflected Shinnō’s tentacles with Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven, and Haku froze them with Ice Breath, making Shinnō retreat.
  • Haku tested Shinnō’s apparent weakness to cold with Sage Art: Ice Release—Rain Ice Technique, and Shinnō retracted his tentacles and covered himself in dark Chakra.

Ch. 1488Snow Country Reappears!

Haku, Neji, Kimimaro, Yota, and Kurama Yakumo fought Tailed Beast Transformation Shinnō and found ways to counter his Dark Chakra-coated tentacles. When Shinnō began forming a Tailed Beast Ball that could devastate Konoha, Haku used Ice Snow Great World and then created a vast ice-and-snow Royal Palace to stop him.

  • Haku’s Ice Release failed to penetrate Shinnō’s Dark Chakra, and Shinnō’s tentacles forced the five children to dodge and fight defensively.
  • Neji used Fire Release Gentle Fist to burn away the tentacles’ Dark Chakra, while Kimimaro’s bone blade petrified the tentacles he cut and Haku’s Frost Armor inflicted backlash damage.
  • Shinnō, enraged that his tentacles had been countered, formed a Tailed Beast Ball and threatened to destroy part of Konoha.
  • Haku used Sage Art—Ice Release: Ice Snow Great World, then followed it with Sage Art—Ice Release: Snow Country Manifestation.
  • A huge ice-and-snow Royal Palace appeared in Konoha, leaving the villagers amazed and uncertain whether Haku or someone else had created it.

Ch. 1489So Lucky to Pick Up a Special Tailed Beast

Haku exhausted himself casting Snow Country Manifestation, forcing Shinnō to destroy the Ice Snow Palace with four Tailed Beast Balls and spend most of his Chakra. Kimimaro then defeated Shinnō with the Dance of the Emerging Ferns, but as the youngsters collapsed, a spiraling vortex appeared and an unknown voice claimed it had picked up a special Tailed Beast.

  • Haku summoned the Ice Snow Palace, and Shinnō fired Tailed Beast Balls to stop the Frost Giant from emerging.

  • Kimimaro lost consciousness after declaring victory, and a spiraling vortex appeared as an unknown voice said it had picked up a special Tailed Beast.

Ch. 1490Obito's Thoughts Are Not for You to Guess

Obito arrived after Neji and the others defeated Shinnō, took the badly wounded Shinnō into the Kamui Dimension, and examined Kimimaro’s bone techniques. He spared the exhausted youngsters because their teacher, Hyuga Soji, had revived Rin Nohara and earned his gratitude, leaving them confused about who he was and why he had changed.

  • Obito appeared before Neji as the exhausted group braced for a fight, but he ignored them and transferred Shinnō into the Kamui Dimension.
  • Neji urged Yota and Kurama Yakumo to flee with the unconscious Haku and Kimimaro, but they refused to abandon their companions.
  • Obito examined Kimimaro’s bone forest and discovered that touching its gray bones disrupted Chakra flow.
  • Neji, Yota, and Kurama Yakumo stood between Obito and their unconscious companions, and their resolve reminded Obito of rescuing Rin Nohara with Kakashi.
  • Obito told the youngsters they were fortunate because Hyuga Soji had once been his enemy but had since done him a favor by reviving Rin Nohara.
