Chapter Summaries

Li Chuan revealed that Ego had killed Star-Lord’s mother and explained why Yondu had kept Star-Lord from him. Since Li Chuan and Wanda could not defeat Ego by force, the group agreed to deceive him and exploit his weaknesses, then set out to stop his plan to assimilate the galaxy.

• Star-Lord learned that Yondu had kept him aboard his ship because Ego’s other children had died, and Li Chuan revealed that Ego had deliberately caused his mother’s death.
• Gamora asked whether Li Chuan could defeat Ego, and he admitted that neither he nor Wanda could overpower the living planet directly.
