Early in the morning, Velin opened his eyes, slowly sat up, and turned to look to his left. It was empty.
He reached out and touched the spot. Some warmth still remained; she had probably only just left.
"Nothing to do today. I'll keep lying here."
After murmuring those words, Velin fell backward onto the bed. Using Reincarnation—Void to weave a Planet World-type illusion, he entered it directly and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
After all, there were not many leisurely days left.
Before he knew it, the sun had set and night had fallen.
Xuemiyya searched the courtyard but did not find her husband anywhere.
"How strange. Did he go out?"
Puzzled, Xuemiyya came to the room, pushed open the door, and looked up to find Velin sleeping soundly.
Yet when she extended her senses, she found nothing at all on the bed.
"An illusion, or concealment?"
Walking to the bedside, Xuemiyya reached out and poked the lazybug lying there in the face. The touch was real.
"Honestly, I looked for you for ages, yet you never even got out of bed."
Looking at her still-sleeping husband, Xuemiyya showed a hint of helplessness. She then tucked her silver hair behind her ear, bent down, and lightly kissed his forehead.
After doing all that, she left the room and prepared to cultivate.
Compared to her husband, who made "rapid progress" every so often, her strength had gradually fallen behind.
If she did not work hard, she feared she would no longer be able to keep up with him.
At noon the next day, Velin emerged from the illusion. With his eyes closed, he reached beside him and found only coldness.
"Where is she?"
Opening his eyes, he sat up and looked around, only to find silence everywhere.
