A few half-truths were enough to make this little fellow reveal a flaw. It really was tempting.

Unfortunately, Moravia's threat was very real. If he truly dared to toy with his grandson's feelings, Moravia would definitely set old ties aside and deal with him—he might even kill him outright.

So for the sake of his own life, he could only suppress that stirring that came from the depths of his Red Dragon Bloodline.

"If you can find a man who makes my heart stir, I'm willing to stay here and contribute to your nation."

Velin steadied himself, looked up at Alerian, and asked, "Madam, may I ask if you have any particular preferences?"

"I like strong men."

"And?"

"That's it. Just that one condition." Alerian folded her arms across her chest, her red dress trembling slightly, and said softly, "As for the other matters you want to mention, I can assure you that I will be loyal to my future husband."

"If that's the case, I do have someone in mind. I just don't know whether you'll be satisfied with him," Velin said after thinking for a moment.

When Alerian heard this, she did not act reserved and asked directly, "Then I'll have to trouble the Moon Knight to bring him here for me to take a look."

"All right."

Velin nodded in agreement, then summoned a guard and ordered, "Go to the Grand Cathedral of Life and invite Priest Lavia here."

"Yes, Lord."

The High-rank Silver Knight answered, took a few steps back, then turned and strode quickly out of the hall.

After that, Velin began chatting with Alerian about other topics to pass the time while they waited.

Perhaps to obtain some little secrets about his maternal grandfather, Velin deliberately, yet seemingly casually, steered the conversation toward adventures.
