After lounging in the garden for two and a half hours, Velin put away the Adventure Storybook in his hand, clasped his hands behind his back, and leisurely made his way toward South Star Palace.
About ten minutes later, just as he reached the entrance, he heard his father's voice.
"That brat is truly shameless. To stop me from running away, he actually stationed lord Celeste there to keep an eye on his own father."
"Father, look at it from another angle. Across the entire family—even the entire kingdom—you're probably the first Soul Intent Tier Transcendent to be watched by a Continental Legend," Ilisis comforted him.
"Is that how you're supposed to look at it from another angle?"
Angus shot his eldest son a fierce glare, turned his head away, and sulked.
The other counts exchanged glances and smiled at the sight.
Where no one noticed, the corner of Ilisis's lips curled up slightly.
Out of selfishness, he did not want his father and mother to leave either. What Velin had done was precisely what he wanted to do, except he lacked the ability to carry it out himself.
"His Majesty has arrived!"
The hall doors were pushed open, and the two guards announced in unison.
Inside the hall, everyone except Angus rose to their feet, placed their right hands over their chests, and bowed to Velin in respect for a Legend.
Seeing this, Velin hurriedly waved his hand and helped the elders up before motioning for them to sit.
He walked over to his father's side, saw that he was still angry, and said half-jokingly, "Father, how about you beat me up?"
Angus froze for a moment upon hearing that, then asked, "Are you serious?"
"Of course."
Then Velin changed his tone and added solemnly, "But I'll fight back."
