Velin wandered around the castle and, before he knew it, arrived at the Stable.
A robust Mutated Griffon spotted Velin and flapped its wings as it pounced toward him.
Velin stretched out his right hand and easily stopped the Mutated Griffon cub.
"Siha—"
The Mutated Griffon cried out in dissatisfaction, looking utterly wronged.
"Next time, approach slowly, understand?" Velin released his hand and earnestly instructed the Mutated Griffon.
"Siha, siha."
Leaning against its master, the Mutated Griffon called out happily. Who knew whether it had listened to him seriously.
Not long after, two smaller Mutated Griffons landed on the ground and slowly approached Velin, occasionally watching the larger Mutated Griffon's movements.
"Looks like you've got the potential to become a Tribal Chief." Velin stroked the Mutated Griffon's snow-white feathers. They were incredibly silky, making them impossible to put down.
"Siha." The Mutated Griffon glanced at its two companions and nodded innocently.
By the standards of ordinary griffons, the Mutated Griffon still needed eight years to reach adulthood. Only at the beast age of ten could it reproduce.
"To see your descendants grow up, I'll have to wait at least another thirty-four years." Stroking the Mutated Griffon's head, Velin could not help but sigh. "Still, that'll be a good time too. At least I'll be able to afford your tribe by then."
The Mutated Griffon had no idea what its master was thinking. It slipped free of Velin's hand, went before its two kin, looked left and right, then seemed to make up its mind. It pushed the relatively sturdier female Mutated Griffon toward Velin and chirped happily several times.
"I'm a human, you idiot. What the hell is going through that head of yours?" Velin clenched his fist and could not resist giving the fool a punch.
