"Father."
After two months, Angus finally emerged from the Underground Treasury.
Seeing his father's radiant expression, Velin figured he must have finished establishing a connection with the Demiplane.
"I'm in a good mood today. Let's see how your training has been going first." With nowhere to channel his restless energy, Angus grabbed Velin and headed straight for the Training Ground.
After a round of loving instruction, his pent-up energy finally found an outlet.
Velin lay sprawled on the ground, looking at his clone beside him, its head covered in lumps from the beating. He touched his own face. Fortunately, his training had paid off, or he would have been the one taking those blows.
Once his father stopped, Velin recalled his clone.
In the hall of the City Lord's Mansion, Angus sat at the head of the room, listening to reports from Draide and Migos.
Velin sat to one side, eating pastries and drinking tea as he quietly learned from them.
"My lord, the fighting at the Royal Capital of the Duchy of Bohan remains at a stalemate, with no significant progress."
"According to the intelligence Lord Simon sent back, two consecutive months of siege warfare have left the Southern Army with 150,000 casualties. The Expeditionary Force has lost more than 50,000 men, with another 30,000 wounded."
"Among them, thirty-three Gold professionals and more than 6,700 Silver Professionals have died in battle. The Noble Army forces from the central provinces of the Duke of Bohan Nation who joined us midway have essentially been exhausted. Six count families have lost all their heirs, along with more than thirty baron and viscount families enfeoffed by the grand duke. Including the other categories, more than eighty additional noble families have lost their heirs, leaving vast stretches of ownerless land in the Central Region."
