At sunset that day, at the home of the Uchiha Clan Head.
A certain little genius happily strode through the front door.
"I'm back!" Shin was in an exceptionally good mood today.
That morning, he had fought the little ice queen and awakened his Sharingan. Afterward, somehow, they had even become friends.
At noon, he had eaten ramen and somehow "lured" Orochimaru, the genius who had mastered the core technologies of the shinobi world, into becoming his consultant.
After everything that had happened today, he felt like he had made an absolute killing.
"You brat finally decided to come home?" Chiken had waited all afternoon and was already getting impatient.
"I set the school on fire. Don't overthink it, old man. I already explained the reason to you this morning." Shin beamed.
Chiken, standing with his arms folded, rolled his eyes so hard his pupils nearly disappeared. "And you still dare smile? Don't expect me to clean up your mess this time!"
"Pfft..." Shin burst out laughing at the sight. "Old man, why are you acting like a little girl? That eye roll was even rounder than anything from the Hyuga Clan."
"You brat, today I'll..." Before Chiken could finish, Aoko pressed a hand onto his shoulder.
"Good son, I heard you've started seeing the little princess of the Hyuga Clan?"
"Yeah, Shin. Mikoto even said the two of you came out holding hands?"
Aoko's excited tone and Fugaku's jealous one made Shin's mouth twitch nonstop.
"Mother, Nao and I are just normal friends. I'm only five! What kind of dating are you talking about?"
"So that means once you grow up, you won't be normal friends anymore." Aoko's imagination ran wild.
Shin clutched his chest, looking deeply wounded. "Mother, how can you slander my innocence out of thin air?!"
"I understand, I understand. Shin, don't get angry. What if it stunts your growth?"
Aoko gently stroked Shin's small, trembling back.
She was clearly determined to turn this into an established fact.
Suddenly.
A ninja hawk flew into the house and landed before Chiken.
Chiken took the letter from its leg. After reading it, his voice rose several pitches. "You brat, the Third Hokage invited me for tea tomorrow!"
"Old man, what are you afraid of? He isn't inviting me for tea." Shin spread his hands, indicating that this was no big deal.
Chiken's head throbbed. "The problem is that Hyuga Meitoku will be there too! You didn't do anything to his daughter, did you?"
"We just had a friendly exchange..." Shin insisted it was all rumor, then began explaining what had happened.
He sincerely felt that the shinobi world had been peaceful for too long.
People actually believed such an obvious rumor.
As he explained, he wondered whether he should arrange some entertainment facilities sooner rather than later.
"And then you awakened your eyes, you brat? The little princess of the Hyuga Clan is that strong?" After hearing everything, the three of them were utterly incredulous.
Was this a joke?
Uchiha Shin had awakened his Sharingan?
Just from one fight?
He was only five years old!
When Uchiha Madara had been five, he had still been competing with Hashirama Senju to see who could pee farther.
Shin regarded it as basic stuff and displayed his Sharingan for them to inspect.
The chemical reaction produced by combining outrageous tricks and a cheat ability had created a new record in the shinobi world.
"It really is two eyes with double tomoe. Shin, what kind of stimulus did you suffer? Don't tell me you couldn't handle getting beaten by a little girl?" Fugaku, who had already started going astray, teased him.
"Brother Fugaku, would you like Mikoto to beat you up too?"
How could Shin tolerate being teased like that? "Maybe my most 'respected' elder brother would awaken his eyes because of it too!"
Fugaku's scalp prickled beneath Shin's gaze.
That unrestrained look reminded him of the last time he had been falsely accused of peeping on Mikoto while she bathed.
"No, I'll awaken my Sharingan through my own abilities!"
Finding that uninteresting, Shin revealed why he had set the school on fire. "Then again, I only wanted to test my improved Great Fireball Technique..."
"I just didn't expect it to be so powerful that it set the school on fire."
He had now decided to change his previous attitude and properly enjoy the pleasures of student life.
In a few years, once the Second Shinobi World War began, he would never again have the chance to live such peaceful days.
The three of them rolled their eyes, making it clear they did not believe him.
No one would believe it had not been intentional.
He could have tested it anywhere, so why had he tested it inside the school?
They all believed troublemaking Shin simply wanted to cause chaos. After all the times he had done this, who would still believe his nonsense?
"You brat, do you think I don't know you? Fine, I won't deal with it. If the Hyuga Clan kidnaps you one day, I'm not paying the ransom!"
Though he said that, the other three all knew that if Shin were really kidnapped, Chiken would probably immediately lead people to their door and demand him back.
He was just being stubborn.
"Cough... I misspoke. I should say I was testing the quality of the school classrooms..."
Shin abruptly changed his tune, determined to shift the blame all the way. "Look, doesn't our Military Police Force have the authority to demolish and rebuild substandard 'dangerous buildings'?"
Chiken and Aoko's eyes lit up. That could work?
"Look, even a five-year-old child can kick open a classroom door. The Ninja Academy is obviously in disrepair from age..."
Still grinning, Shin added, "As the son of the Uchiha Clan Head, I must take full responsibility for Konoha's safety..."
"I am proud to have been born into the Uchiha Clan!"
"The Ninja Academy is a sacred hall for cultivating the next generation..." Shin radiated solemn dignity. "Any potential danger must be removed at once. This is the mission the village entrusted to us!"
The three of them listened to that righteous speech and unconsciously straightened their backs.
But when they saw his expression turn improper again, the corners of their mouths could not help twitching.
Words aside, could he control his expression a little? The atmosphere had been completely ruined.
After taking a moment to recover, Aoko remembered there was still a problem to solve. "What about the Hyuga Clan?"
"Won't tomorrow's news headline be 'The Uchiha Clan's Second Young Master and the Hyuga Clan's Little Princess Have a Friendly Exchange, Witnessing the Everlasting Friendship Between the Two Clans'?" Shin provided a fitting reason.
"That's right. Spend a little money, and won't the story be ours to decide?" Aoko began doing the math.
Fugaku once again failed to understand. How had a bad thing become a good thing?
Was there no justice? No law?
"And, old man..." Shin did not dare call Chiken an old man again as he made a suggestion. "Father, make sure you dress up properly for tea tomorrow. Presence is important."
"What kind of outfit?" Chiken asked, puzzled.
Shin pulled out paper and a pen and began sketching.
Chiken's face darkened.
Aoko thought it was quite interesting.
Fugaku could not make sense of it no matter how hard he tried.
"Father, isn't it imposing enough?"
"Not really!"
"Trust me. Once you put it on, you'll definitely crush their presence!"
"Then shall we give it a try?"
Meanwhile, at the Hyuga Clan residence.
Nao was explaining the situation to her family.
"So, Nao, you used the Sixty-Four Palms..." Meitoku sat upright in his chair with his arms folded as he asked, "and that boy awakened his eyes?"
"Yes, Father. Shin really is incredible. He used my hands to release Fire Release..."
Nao proudly introduced her friend Shin. "By the end, from the hand seals to the flow of Chakra, the Great Fireball Technique no longer bore any resemblance to its original form."
"It seems little Nao has grown up. I've never seen you care so much about anyone else."
As her father, Meitoku wore a completely improper grin as he teased his youngest daughter.
It seemed Naruto's mischievous future father-in-law had inherited that personality from him.
"Father, we're only friends." Nao hurriedly explained, flustered.
"Should I have that boy tied up and brought to the Hyuga Clan? It looks like little Nao really likes him."
"Father... You're awful! I'm ignoring you!" Pouting angrily, she ran back to her room.
Meitoku watched his little daughter run away in embarrassment and could not help sighing. His daughter had grown up; sure enough, she was already starting to ignore even her father.
