Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast, Wind Drifter Dragon

At the open-air stadium of Heaven Dou Royal Academy.

A girl in a white shirt and black pleated skirt sat quietly in the stands. Her light purple hair draped over her shoulders, and her slightly raised brows and delicate eyes perfectly highlighted her adorable charm.

She was watching her classmates not far below as they engaged in one-on-one battles.

At that moment, a young man in his thirties slowly walked over and said, "Yu Ling, why aren't you sparring with them?"

Qian Yuling smiled slightly, revealing two dimples. "Teacher Qin, I already fought the seven members of the Imperial Fighting Team earlier. I've used up quite a bit of Soul Power, so I'm resting now."

Qin Ming nodded. "How did it go?"

Qian Yuling answered without hesitation, "I won."

Qin Ming smiled. "That's what I thought. Even if all seven of them joined forces, they still wouldn't be able to defeat you."

Qian Yuling asked again, "Teacher Qin, do you know how to quickly increase one's strength?"

Qin Ming froze for a moment. "I can't answer that question either. You're already very strong."

Qian Yuling shook her head. "It's still not enough. By the way, Teacher Qin, I heard that your former academy was very special. Every student who graduated from there became a powerful soul master. Can you tell me where it is?"

Its mouth resembled a bird's beak somewhat, and a pair of sail-like membranes grew from its head, allowing it to adjust its posture in flight. When it was not flying, the membranes folded up and looked like a pair of antennae or whiskers.

Its wings looked somewhat like leaves or the fins of certain fish. Unlike ordinary wyverns, which had a single continuous wing membrane, each of its finger bones bore an independent wing membrane.

Its tail was thin, long, and flexible, with a membrane along it that spread open during flight.

It had few scales, with more of its body covered in membrane. The underside of its body was primarily white, marked with patches of dark blue and many small holes that released freezing air capable of freezing opponents; its back was mainly dark blue, with less white.

Qian Yuling cried out, "It's a Wind Drifter Dragon, a mysterious Flying Wyvern species with Ultimate Ice!"

Qin Ming and the others were somewhat dumbfounded. They had no idea what kind of wyvern this was.

The Wind Drifter Dragon swept its gaze over Qian Yuling and the others, then let out a deafening voice. "Just as the boss said, this is the place."

"What? A Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast?" Seeing that the Wind Drifter Dragon could speak human language, Qin Ming immediately concluded that it was a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast.

No one moved. They knew escape was impossible, and even if the three members of the Education Committee were here, they would definitely be no match for the Wind Drifter Dragon before them. They could only hope it meant them no harm.

After finding its target, the Wind Drifter Dragon roared loudly at the group. The violent shockwave left everyone dizzy, and one after another, they collapsed. Qian Yuling was no exception. She slowly fell to the ground and lost consciousness. Only Qin Ming and Mo Ying struggled to remain standing.

Once the roar ended, the Wind Drifter Dragon rapidly descended. Like an eagle hunting prey, it seized the fallen Qian Yuling in its claws, then rose into the air, preparing to leave.

However, Mo Ying was quick to react. The instant the Wind Drifter Dragon's claws grabbed Qian Yuling, he grabbed the dragon's tail as well, refusing to let go even at the risk of his life. The Wind Drifter Dragon paid him no attention and flew into the distance.

"Mo Ying! Yu Ling!" Qin Ming's eyes instantly reddened. He was filled with anger and regret. He should never have brought these students to the open-air stadium for training today.

In the sky, Qian Yuling lay peacefully in the Wind Drifter Dragon's claws, though she remained unconscious. Mo Ying clung to the dragon's tail with both hands, not daring to let go.

Even Mo Ying himself did not know why he had impulsively grabbed the Wind Drifter Dragon's tail. But when he saw it seize Qian Yuling in its claws, his mind went blank. He had not thought about anything at all. Perhaps their four years together had caused Mo Ying to develop some special feelings for Qian Yuling.

The Wind Drifter Dragon flew extremely fast, and before long, it reached its destination: a cave.

Following that person's instructions, the Wind Drifter Dragon placed Qian Yuling inside the cave. Mo Ying, still clinging to its tail, gradually slid down, collapsed onto the ground, and lost consciousness.

Having completed its task, the Wind Drifter Dragon flew back to its nest and continued sleeping.

Mo Ying woke up, stood, and looked around in confusion.

"You're awake? Why are you here too?" Qian Yuling asked doubtfully.

"The Wind Drifter Dragon brought me here too." Mo Ying paused, but still told a small lie. He could not possibly say that when he saw Qian Yuling being taken away, his mind had gone blank and he had grabbed the Wind Drifter Dragon without a second thought, ending up here with it. That would have been too embarrassing for him.

Qian Yuling nodded upon hearing this. "Let's go outside and take a look first."

"Mm."

The two slowly walked out of the cave.
