"To the Alchemy Department!"
Inside the carriage, Ian gave Farn the order.
"Yes!"
Farn answered at once.
It wasn't actually his job, but ever since Ian had been promoted to department head, Farn had felt a sense of crisis and had voluntarily taken on more work.
Soon, the carriage stopped outside the Alchemy Department.
After stepping down, Ian turned to Farn. "Go to the External Relations Department and find Renee. Tell her to come here."
"Yes."
Farn sprinted off as soon as he received the order.
Only then did Ian head into the Alchemy Department.
"Lord Ian, what brings you here?" Joz came forward to greet him. He was Ed's son.
"Where's Ed?"
Ian went straight to the point.
"My father just finished upgrading your Witchcraft Artifact, my lord. He's recovering his mental strength!" Joz said quickly.
"All right. Let's go see the artifact, then."
Ian frowned slightly.
"Of course," Joz replied.
"And arrange someone to teach Emily. She probably doesn't have a teacher yet," Ian said.
"No problem. I'll bring her into my laboratory tomorrow." Joz was an experienced alchemist himself and agreed at once.
Soon, they reached the storeroom.
A tall carriage was parked outside it.
Its body had a muted, dark finish, and its wheels were etched with dense shock-absorbing runes.
The cabin was unusually spacious, almost like a small room. Two glazed windows sat on each side, their frames made of silver alchemical material. The door was heavy, with a red-copper handle shaped like a snake swallowing its own tail.
The interior was even more luxurious: deep-blue velvet walls, a dark-gray carpet, comfortable seats and furnishings, and a moonstone that cast a gentle light.
"Department Head Ian, are you satisfied?"
Joz asked as he showed him around.
"It'll do."
Ian nodded.
Meanwhile, a Wizard servant led
