Before long, he found Green Wing and Sam's names—one ranked thirty-sixth, the other three hundred and eighty-ninth.
Unfortunately, Vilo had not made it into the top four hundred.
Regret showed on her face.
She was not the only one. Many of the wizards present wore looks of regret and unwillingness. After all, joining Elemental Mysteries was an enormous opportunity for most wizards.

With their regrets in tow, the wizards were dismissed and sent away.
Very soon, only Ian and the others remained.
Ian saw the red-haired wizard step before them, his face carrying a smile that had not appeared before.
"Hello, everyone. I am Malcolm Gentil, a wizard of Molten Fire Academy. I'll explain the arrangements ahead, as well as the benefits of joining the Academy."
Everyone's eyes instantly lit up.
Wasn't this exactly what they had joined the Academy for?
"First, after joining the Academy, everyone may freely enter and leave all areas of the City of Elements. At the same time, you will receive a small apartment on the first level, each equipped with a Meditation Room, with a standard magic concentration five times higher.
"Second, within the Academy's grounds, you may enjoy substantial internal discounts on all Academy facilities, elemental simulation grounds, laboratories, the Library, and other such places. You'll understand just how generous they are once you experience them for yourselves.
"The Library in particular—the knowledge stored within Elemental Mysteries will absolutely not disappoint you.
"Third, every wizard admitted through this selection may imprint any three zero-ring pieces of knowledge free of charge, receive one standard
