New Runes, Power Revealed
A day later.
Ian looked up from the laboratory table. Fire-rune stones lay before him, and a new skill had appeared on his panel.

Ian narrowed his eyes.
Though it was Zero Ring, the value shown by the black line was a full 50—a considerable amount.
It could not compare with runes like the Resonance Rune or those of the Imprint Body Tempering Method, but it still ranked among the best of Zero Ring.
"Perfect for me to study."
Ian narrowed his eyes slightly.
The first spell he had made permanent was fire-attributed. Studying related knowledge would help him understand runes.
It might let his Meditation Method reach Master Level faster.
It could also increase his combat strength.
"Besides, these are only stones. The runes on the actual stone wall are probably First Ring at the very least."
Ian considered this.
"And now that I've advanced, I have plenty of knowledge to work through. It's time to settle down."
He had amassed no small amount of knowledge.
Flame Hand, the first layer of his Meditation Method, the Crystal Skin Rune of the Everlasting Body Tempering Method, the Eye of Harmonization spell, the spell he had yet to redeem, quite a few Zero Ring Body Tempering spells he had not studied, and three First Ring fire-attributed spells.
And now these new runes.
Digesting all of it would take him a long time.
"So I'll focus on studying."
Ian took a deep breath.
If Grayson knew when to back off, all the better. If not, Ian had ways to deal with him.
