Fire Pattern Runes: A Great Haul, Academy Journals!
He opened the Space Ring.
Ian looked inside.
The space was vast, containing large fire-pattern stone walls, as well as quite a few smaller fire-pattern stone chunks.
There were seven of the former and roughly twenty of the latter.
Discounting duplicates, there were about five First-Ring ones and more than a dozen Zero-Ring ones.
"Quite a lot."
Ian was pleasantly surprised.
After all, the lava crystal mine was only a first-tier resource point. The fact that it contained so many naturally occurring runes already spoke to the uniqueness of its environment.
And there were enough of them for his current needs.
But his most pressing task was to examine these runes and confirm several of his ideas.
He took out all the stone walls and fire-pattern stone chunks, spreading them across his entire hall, then examined them one by one with care.
It was not until two full days later that Ian finally stopped.
Yet a smile had already appeared on his face.
"There's hope. The varieties really are quite comprehensive."
Ian's gaze flickered.
It had to be said that the lava crystal mine truly was an exceptionally unique resource point, having nurtured Fire Pattern Runes within it.
And their types were highly comprehensive.
At the very least, they covered many of the aspects Ian had been considering.
The reason Ian cared so much about this was because he intended to use it as a foundation to organize the Fire Pattern Runes.
And write an article.
To publish within the academy.
"In Veridian Forest, the ways wizards can earn advancement contributions are almost entirely through combat and contributing resources. Knowledge counts for comparatively little.
"But in Elemental Mysteries, publishing articles and contributing valuable papers is itself a path for wizards to advance."
