The aura of the domain still hung in the air. Ian closed his eyes and absorbed the inheritance.
"The fifth layer of the Meditation Method, and a new fixed Wizardry."
Ian examined what he had received.
It was much as Kieran had guessed.
"The fixed Wizardry of the fifth layer is Four Symbols Unity."
He studied the information.
Unlike the four fixed Wizardries before it, this was a special spell. Only Wizards who had learned the first four layers could learn it.
Its effect was unlike theirs, too.
Once activated, the four elements of Four Symbols Resonance would no longer operate separately. They would fuse into a new power: Four Symbols Power.
Four Symbols Power could be used to cast Wizardry of all four elements. It would also make his domain more versatile.
"That's incredible!"
Ian immediately grasped how powerful the spell was.
Casting different kinds of Wizardry required a pause to switch between elements. Once he mastered Four Symbols Power, that would no longer trouble him.
"And it'll let me bring out the full potential of my instant casting."
Ian's heart suddenly raced.
Instead of being able to cast one spell instantly, he would be able to cast many. What that would do for his combat strength was obvious.
"And Four Symbols Power comes from the fusion of four elements. It's a higher form of power by nature."
He considered it.
Elemental fusion was not especially rare. Darkfire, formed from fire and certain obscure dark elements, was a common combination in the Crimson Eye. There were other compatible combinations as well, but Four Symbols Power fused four fundamental elements.
Neither its range of applications nor its strength could be compared with ordinary fused magic.
"And that isn't the only surprise."
