Chapter 342: A New Laboratory, the Alchemists' Changing Attitudes, Metatron's Dream, Falling In!
"So pure!"
Darwin's voice shattered the silence.
The other Wizards stared at that crystal as well, each of them drawing in a sharp breath.
Even without testing it.
The crystal's clarity was obvious to the naked eye.
"Even I would need advanced laboratory equipment to achieve purification at this level."
Jonah said with a sigh.
Purifying elemental crystals seemed simple, but beyond minute impurities, crystals contained traces left behind by all sorts of elements. The slightest carelessness could easily damage the crystal.
That was why they generally did not deal with many of those minute traces.
Those who dared to handle them were either bold, wealthy in resources, or—
"—confident enough in their own technique."
Jonah murmured softly.
His words made the people around him nod.
"Perhaps he knew he was no match for Leo and Valentin, so he took a gamble and got lucky!"
An ill-timed voice rang out. Cameron's tone was shrill, his gaze filled with suspicion.
Only then did the other Wizards react.
That was right.
If he was lucky, and the crystal happened to contain few traces, that was entirely possible.
But was that really the case?
"Keep watching."
Darwin spoke, and everyone fell quiet. This time, however, far more eyes were fixed on Ian.
As for the other two alchemists, they were wholly focused on their own refining. They had already completed the construction of the second-step Energy Circuit.
They had barely noticed the changes around them.
"It's begun."
Aston spoke.
Everyone looked over and saw fine, dense patterns beginning to emerge within the crystal.
Neat and orderly.
They were not obvious at first, but the longer everyone watched, the more they felt that the Energy Circuit should have been like this
