The City of Elements.
The enormous airship did not cause much of a stir.
It had been bound for the City of Elements on an exchange trip anyway, and had merely been temporarily reassigned to Ian and his companions.
Its arrival had been reported in advance.
Of course, since Ian and the other two had returned so suddenly, no one had reported their arrival.
So when the three stepped out of their quarters and looked at the familiar airship district before them, they all felt a moment of unreality.
"We're finally back."
Ian gazed at the familiar surroundings ahead. One identity mark after another lit up in his Communication Crystal, indicating that he could contact them.
It felt as though he had rejoined society.
It was not that the Gray Tower was bad. He had simply spent too long at Elemental Mysteries; he had lived here for most of his life. "Ian, we'll be off, then. Come over to my place in a few days. You have to do me that favor."
Gabriel turned to Ian with a smile as he spoke.
At the Gray Tower, he had felt inferior whenever he stood before Ian, but now that they were back at Elemental Mysteries, he seemed to have regained his old self.
Of course, that was only his mindset.
When it came to actually comparing himself with Ian, he still sighed inwardly as he recalled Ian's performance at the Gray Tower.
Forget it.
The man's a monster.
Quentin, beside them, also said his goodbyes.
Before long.
The two left.
Ian strode down the steps as well and entered the City of Elements.
"Not much has changed, but the atmosphere is clearly off."
Ian watched the wizards passing on either side. Everything seemed normal, but quite a few wore subdued expressions.
