First of all, I still want to thank all the esteemed readers who have supported Elephant all along. Without you, there would be no this book, nor would Elephant have persisted in writing twelve thousand words a day for over a year.
That said, I can finally let out a long breath.
All right, it was time for the customary self-criticism session.
Well, first of all, Elephant admitted that this book had quite a few structural problems.
Before starting the book, Elephant had thought things too simply: just write a multiverse anime fast-travel novel. Then, in a moment of enthusiasm, Elephant simply used the spatial setting from the previous book.
But while writing, Elephant discovered two core issues. First, Elephant did not seem particularly good at writing fast-travel stories and tended to write them superficially. When it came to fanfiction, Elephant was still better at writing detailed, longer stories.
Second, once the spatial setting was used, there was no escaping the setting of the previous book. To avoid contradicting it, every loose end had to be tied up, which left many parts of this book's later stages constrained.
As a result, it was quite unfriendly to readers who had not read the previous book. After all, many readers did not know the causes and consequences, so they would find things baffling and get pulled out of the story.
But if Elephant did not fill in those plot holes, many things could not be explained clearly. In the end, there was no getting around them. That was the contradiction.
Elephant had to exert tremendous effort to fill all those holes and straighten out the logic. Sigh, really made things difficult for myself.
Well, even if Elephant were beaten to death, Elephant would never write a sequel or related work again in
