According to the original story, Mavis had simultaneously nurtured the powers of life and death within her, eventually producing an unforeseeable change: Fairy Heart, which was said to possess eternal Mana.

Zeref had sent the Spriggan 12 to attack Fairy Tail in order to seize Fairy Heart. He hoped to gain that power and use it against the Black Dragon.

Once Lu Li extracted the Ankhseram Curse from Mavis, that power disappeared completely. Lu Li guessed that this magical phenomenon was only born when the powers of life and death merged in some special state, much like the matter-antimatter annihilation he had heard about before coming to this space.

Now that Mavis's curse had been lifted, the so-called Fairy Heart no longer existed.
