Youmeng revived Uchiha Madara in the Land of Earth, and Madara ordered the Eye of the Moon Plan to proceed. Meanwhile, Lu Li returned to Konoha with Naruto and the others, stood by Naruto’s refusal to accept blame, and asked Orochimaru for help evolving the Sharingan.

• Youmeng summoned Uchiha Madara with Impure World Reincarnation, then released her control so he could free himself and hear about the shinobi world’s changed circumstances.
• Madara learned that Obito was dead, Nagato’s Rinnegan had been weakened, and Calamity had disrupted his plans, then ordered the Eye of the Moon Plan and the shinobi world war to begin.
• Zetsu revealed that he had assembled a White Zetsu army of one hundred thousand, and Madara declared that his ideal age was approaching.

• Lu Li injected Orochimaru’s ocular-power medicine and, after hours of painful changes, stabilized his eyes as a Six Paths Rinnegan with enhanced abilities.
• Lu Li asked about solving Sasuke’s ocular-power problem, and Orochimaru revealed that he had agreed to perform a surgical modification for the Uchiha Clan.

At the Land of Fire border, Madara attacked the defenders with a massive fire technique, but a mysterious Lightning Dragon struck back from the forest.

• Youmeng led the battered Spirit Sky Adventurer Team out of Stone Village and joined Uchiha Madara in planning to take the Nine-Tailed Fox and revive the Ten-Tails.
• Madara's army crushed the shinobi forces that tried to stop them and advanced toward the Land of Fire.

Lu Li used a Wood Clone to fight Uchiha Madara while he defended Orochimaru's Research base, where the Spirit Sky Adventurer Team stole Minato before Lu Li killed them. After Youmeng returned with Minato and Uchiha Madara began turning the Nine-Tailed Fox into the Ten-Tails, Lu Li arrived with Naruto and revealed his Six Paths Rinnegan, crushing the transforming beast.

• Uchiha Madara shattered Lu Li's Thousand-Hand Susanoo with two Heavenly Obstacle Stars and attacked him with Limbo: Border Jail clones, only to discover he had been fighting a Wood Clone.
