The Asura God nodded calmly. "I knew it wouldn't be that simple. Not only did he contaminate my City of Slaughter, he even left behind these backup plans. Heh..."
Seeing the mocking expression on the Asura God's face, the three gods beside him were rather surprised. Their impression of the Asura God had always been that he was cold and detached. Combined with his identity as an enforcer of the Divine Realm, calling him iron-faced would not have been an exaggeration. This was the first time they had seen the Asura God show such an expression.
However, when they considered the relationship between the Asura God and the Rakshasa God, they understood.
Both gods were gods of slaughter, yet they stood in opposition to one another. The Asura God wielded pure killing aura, while the Rakshasa God wielded killing intent—a thought, one classified as an evil thought.
Thus, the Rakshasa God was also known as the god who controlled slaughter and evil thoughts.
Compared to each other, the illusory killing intent naturally could not match killing aura, which could be made tangible. Therefore, the Rakshasa God had always wanted to seize the Asura God's Divine Authority. Divine Authority was the fundamental manifestation of a god's power, so naturally, the Asura God could not possibly let it go.
At this point, the Fire God recalled something as well. His expression turned somewhat grave as he asked the Asura God, "Asura, what does the Divine Realm Management Committee intend to do about those people?"
"Isn't that what we're doing now? Otherwise, did you think I could interfere in mortal affairs while keeping it hidden from the two God Kings?"
